It is very easy for some people, just as it is easy for us to believe.
I have a GREAT idea!
Let's respect their unbelief and set an example for them to respect our belief.
I also think it'd be cool for you to not call them crazy. Did you like it when they call us idiots? I would think NOT.
SO why not treat the atheists as you want to be treated and show some respect?
Thanks!

How can you believe in God? Why did the universe need to be created at all? As a theist I am sure you believe that god is eternal, meaning he has always been there. Why do you not wonder who made him? The universe, much like your impression of god, has simply always been here however unlike god we have tangible evidence that the universe exists. It is obvious now to all educated peoples that evolution DOES happen. The only unanswered question is abiogenesis. However why do you assume that just because we can't explain it right now that god is responsible? People used to assume that just because we couldn't see the curvature of the earth that it was flat.
It is unlikely that we will ever prove unequivocally that god does not exist because nobody can PROVE a negative. However when making a claim like the existence of god the burden off proof is on the one making the claim. What proof do you have that god exists? What proof do you have that he loves you? Other than an antiquated, contradictory, mis-translated, sexist, homophobic, inaccurate canonical text what evidence, let alone proof, do you have that he exist. There is not one piece.
The most interesting part to me is that people would rather assume the god is responsible for all unknowns and remain blissfully ignorant whereas us atheists know that we may be wrong but we pursue the truth as supported by factual reason. We know that God is one of billions of possible theories for the formation of the universe but God is one of the least factually supported and is perpetuated by human nature and not logical deduction
THAT is how i can not believe in god

1. How can you not believe in Krishna or Zeus? (same likelihood for or against- one problem with faith)
2. Gravity made this planet out of the stardust from an earlier nova (that's how you got your carbon-rich body). There are billions of planets in the Milky way. And plants and animals did not suddenly appear here- read up on evolution.
We're not crazy. We're just informed.

That's just really rude. As strongly as you believe in God some people believe in Science and having proof in front of their eyes.
EXCELLENT point about medical advice from a preacher. This is a perfect example. You can;t insist and believe in some science, say the type that saves people's lives, and then denounce others. Science and God can co-exist to some people, however, the earth happened with physics, chemistry and biology.
p.s. the bibile isn't proof like science is proof. The bible by nature CAN'T be proved, you just have to believe. Science is proved by X number of experiements.

That's quite a question. There is no scientific evidence that supports the existence of the Almighty. However, if we are relying on science as a means of disproving God...it is tantamount to cutting off the branch you're sitting on.
Science deals with cause and effect at its most rudimentary level. Yet those who claim God doesn't exist because science can't prove He exists are tacitly admitting that our entire existence has flowed from no cause whatsoever. We are an effect without a cause, so to speak. Not a hypothesis any reputable scientist would be happy accepting.

why do you worship something that you cant logically prove exists other then the fact that it is in a book
how do you know that "we" and all creatures and plants came about because some "god" decided to make us and not thru a freak of evolution due to particles from space landing on this planet and mixing in just the right way to make all things living.............
how do you know that the bible wasnt written by some drugged up guys that thought it would be funny to see if anyone would believe it and then when people started believing it , maybe they just sat back and started laughing

It's sad that people don't with all the evidence we have around us. And it's even sadder for others to credit humans, plants, the universe, and animals to chance, with everything being to precise to have come about by chance. Like the sun....it's just the right distance from the earth. I read a book that said if it were an inch more away from the earth, we'd freeze to death; and if it were an inch closer, we'd burn to death. So you're telling me that the sun just popped up in space in the perfect position by chance? So sad that people believe that. But the Bible does explain why they can't reason. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says in part that the god of this system of things (Satan the Devil) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through. So no matter how much you try to reason with them, you can't because their minds are blinded, so they won't agree at all.

Just because you don't know who or what created the earth and life doesn't mean that God did it. You're making a huge assumption based on a lack of understanding. As for me, I don't know who or what created everything or if everything just always was, and I'm humble enough to admit that. And I'm an atheist because there's no proof of God's existence.
Your inability to explain life is not proof
Faith, defined as belief without evidence, is not proof. It's kind of the opposite of proof.
Ancient story books are not proof
How much you feel or want God to be there is not proof
I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.

only one crazy here is you.
see I have just as much proof that the keebler elves created the universe as you do that god exists or created the universe.
which is on both counts- none.
the fact is that it is a symbol of fear and a weak mind to demand answers even when logically, you should know they are false as they have no proof to support them rather than to do the adult thing and simply say "I don't know, but when we find out about it, then we will".
you may believe that a god created the universe, but that doesn't make it true.
I believe that if you stare at a penny long enough, it will turn into gold. That doesn't make it true.
it is simply bieng mature enough to leave the crutch of fear (which causes your mind to latch on to an answer, any answer, no matter how unsubstantiated it may be) behind and wait for, and analyze things properly rather than just jump at the answer that feels the most comfortable to you psycologically.

The Big Bang and evolution. No, I do not know what set that off, scientists are trying to work it out and I'm sure when they know, they'll tell you. The Bible is proof of absolutely nothing except that whoever put it together was able to write.

Because all such notions are complete and utter rubbish. No-one but believers think we suddenly appeared on earth. Fact is, we developed over millions of years in a slow progression. And don;t call me crazy, mate, YOU are the one who asks "Who the heck do people think made the earth?"
Next fatuous, vague, pointless question!
