i drink about 2 diet cokes a day, and im so confused, half of the people say that it will make u gain weight for whatever reasons, and the other half says no it wont make u gain weight casue theres no calories, so which is ture?

honestly i dont care what it will do to my body as long as it doesnt make me gain weight, sounds terrible i know!

It never made me gain weight. Most people I know who have wanted to keep their weight at a desirable number realize that they can enjoy the flavor of soda without consuming sugar by drinking diet coke.

However health fanatics, who think the only proper drink is fresh squeezed organic zucchini juice, hate the idea that anyone can enjoy a tasty drink without health consequences so they bad-mouth diet sodas and try to raise the fear factor about them. Typically they will say: "I have heard it is bad for your ..." where you can fill in heart, weight, or anything else but they never reference any valid study that proves that.

I have also heard this rumor you speak of, and let me tell you what happened to me! My little brother learned this rumor in his health class. . and said I'd lose more weight if I drank REGULAR pop. So I decided to test this theory and I gain 5 lbs in 1 month!! YUUCK. I was like okay . .that was all BS. So then I stuck to my same diet ( I was on a strict small portion diet) and I went back to diet coke and ended up LOSING 12 lbs total ( w/ my diet)!! yayy for me :). SO the rumor is BS. . regular pop has wayy more calories and too much sugar.

Diet has 0 sugars and 0 calories. No weight gain!

tae tae is so very wrong. Coke doesnt eat away your insides. They tell you that because if you take a piece of dead meat and pour coke on it, it breaks down the meat. It is a scare tactic, you have digestive enzymes in your body that prevent it from doing that to you. It does reduce the absortion of calcium and that is harmful but it isn't just diet coke, it is all sodas.
It is always better to drink water in place of other beverages when possible but 2 diet cokes a day is not going to hurt you. As long as you are eating right and taking your vitamins, yo0ur fine.

It's been proven diet coke is bad for you. My grandma used to drink it all the time and her doctor told her to stop because basically the thing inside the pop is eating away her insides. So she stopped drinking it and I think she's lost some weight.
Try to consult a doctor about it.

No i dont think it will make u gain weight. I think it just gives you excess maltose and fructose which can make you gain a little weight unless they use sugar supplements, which idk even know anymore with all the things they are chaning. Its complicated, but the answer to your question no i dont think it will make you gain any weight at all.

It will not make u gain weight, but yes it is bad for u. I believe it is bad for your heart.
