Savage makes one tough, tried and true rifle. Many police department sniper rifles are Savages. Gun Digest recently had an article on rifles that were most accurate right out of the box and Savage was at the top of the list. They have no frills or gingerbread attached; they are just well made, functionable and reliable. You cannot go wrong with a Savage.

I've owned a lot of different rifle. I reload and pride myself of 1moa groups at 100 yards. I most accurate rifle I've ever owned was a 270 savage rifle. Besides the new accu trigger. They have one of the best barrels out there. The only draw back is savage rifles seem to kick a little harder then the rest.

I own a savage 110e in 30-06, It shots very well. I have not massed with the newer savages with accu-trigger. I can get a 1 in group with that gun at 100 yrds.

Savage makes very good firearms. i personally own a Churchill-Highlander .30-06 and love the way it feels and shoots. I had the barrel floated and it shoots very accuratelly. But they are a bit spendy. Savage,Winchester, Remington and ruger all offer good weapons at affordable prices, but my pick would be with savage, remington, or churchill-highlander.

i have a 30 30 savage that i've owned for a very long time. it's got a lot of wood so it's very heavy, and it only holds 3 shells, but it's SO accurate that I can't seem to part with it.

Savage is an affordable and high quality weapon.
I have owned several and have never had any complaints.
