No smacking allowed : ( shame on that one. Do get a water bottle & mist the little fellow whenever he's doing something that's a no no. He'll get the message. Good luck.

When our cat was a kitten we filled a sprayer with water and then if ever she did something we didnt approve of we would just lightly spray her. Not enough to soak her but enough to make her stop.
This way, whenever your cat climbs the curtain it will get sprayed and will eventually associate the water with climbing the curtain and should stop.

Be firm. Stomp your feet, clap your hands and say NO! Remove him from the area if he doesn't stop. Keep a loaded water gun handy. Squirt him if you catch him doing it. Until he is a year old and out of the bratty kitten stage, you may want to remove your curtains. Keep his nails trimmed short and provide him with a tall cat tree that he is allowed to climb near the window.

take your curtains down, and buy blinds instead (I'm not sure if "blinds" are the official term...but they're flat pieces of wood or plastic and you twist a stick or knob and it makes the blinds rotate to block out the sunlight/view, or to ratotate and open.
if you can't do that, spank your cat or spray it with water everytime it climbs on the curtains. it'll eventually learn what you don't want it to do
you can also buy something for cats that's talls and able to have cats climbing on them to attract it away from the curtains

I don't know if it works with cats or not, But, with puppies and even larger dogs, I have had a lot of success by putting a few coins in an empty soda can, and throwing it near where they are acting inappropriately. It only takes a few times to break some pretty bad habits!!

You can pull up the curtains so he/she can't get to them. This also might be just a bored kitty so go to your local PETSMART or PETCO and get some fun things to distract your kitty.
Best Wishes,
Court

Yes, water gun to the kitty will work. You can also buy some stuff at the pet store, it is made to deter cats from getting on things. It smells really bad to them, but not to us. It really works too, but u have to continue to spray like once a day.

For discipline a spray bottle with water. For fun give her a kitty condo with toys hanging from it. She will love that.
