The first people to determine lust was bad either wanted to control the population or wanted "it" all for themselves.

Lust is bad. No husband lusts for his wife and no wife lusts for her husband. Love is completely different than lust. Lust is sex while love and procreation are good and wholesome when used accordingly. When a man and woman have sex outside of marriage then the act of sex becomes lustfull but if a man and woman wish to procreate within their marriage then the act of sex becomes good and lust is not the motivation for procreation.

You certainly have a point, but going to bed with someone just because you find them physically attractive is not a good idea, in my opinion. Don't act upon lust alone. Sex has greater meaning when it's an expression of your love for someone with whom you have a deep and meaningful relationship.

You can lust after spouse!
But before marriage you need SELF CONTROL!
And this comes easily with knowing God, for He can give us self control-- -something hard for everyone to control- but with Christ we can.
BUT in marriage it is easy for people to lust for other people-- that is why I cannot stand to see half naked women all over the place-- men are easily distracted by that sort of thing. Modesty is the key!
God designed for sex to be in a marriage. For reproduction to be in a marriage. (want verses?)

Lust is bad, because there is a difference between lust and LIBIDO. Lust is when libido dominates a person. Lust is not just any and all sexual desire. Any and all sexual desire is properly called libido. We are supposed to have libido. Libido becomes lust when it takes over, when it becomes a selfish thing that is entertained for its own sake.

Lust in the sense that you are only seeking the physical pleasure isn't the best, but without physical attraction, of course, we would cease to exist. I look at it more like romantic love...which would include the physical, spritiual, and emotional aspects of one's relationship with their significant other....that, of course, is awesome.

"Evil" lust is bad. The word used in the NT for "lust" just means a strong desire.
To find out what "evil lust" is....check your concordance.

Lust is a strong desire to use one for one's own pleasure. In the act of marital relations, it is the total opposite that occurs. It is the total giving of oneself to the other. God Bless You!
