When are people gonna stop blaming the government for katrina?

....and maybe it`s just possible that katrina was caused by the wickedness and murders in the city and bow to God for their sins.

Does anyone remember the story of the flood or of Sodom and Gomorrah?? God did that. he was showing his power and wrath for the evil in the world. I'm sure I'll get thumbs down but it's the truth!! I'm not saying that Katrina was God's wrath but even if the Government did know of the possibility, did not know how severe the situation would become? How would they have fixed this? What would they have done to stop it from happening?

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not defending anyone. I'm simply saying that some things are out of our control, some things we will never understand, and some things will never seem right or fair. But, if there's one thing I do know, it's that God is in control and all things work together for the good for those that love him and are called according to his purpose.

Oh, give me a break!

Katrina was the result of poor government planning. All phases of government- local, state and federal. Even after Katrina hit, the government did a lousy job assisting the victims.

God had nothing to do with the disaster. He/She sent the rescue workers, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and other agencies.

God does not punish innocent people- especially poor people who were affected the most from this.

DISASTERS are NOT "acts of God" and the only government that could be blamed is the State and Local government of Lousianna.
This attitude and mindset of "entitlement" is appalling to me!! Like get real. Be thankful for the help from the federal gov't; U.S. taxpayers, since the gov't don't have any money except the tax money my husband works and pays into the system and what I paid into it for years, and other hard working Americans.
Turn to God, PRAY and do some "identification repentance" for your city, your state and your lineage; then get busy. Help your neighbor and it will come back to you. Nehemiah and Solomon and King David did that and God changed their impossible circumstances to something positive and blessed. There is lots ot do except to cry and moan and blame! My husband volunteered in the Gulf area to help in restoration for eight weeks.
Yes, you need help, but be grateful for what HAS BEEN DONE and IS STILL BEING DONE and quit expecting someone to RESCUE you.., only Jesus can help you.

To say that those"innocent people" didn't deserve to die and the wickidnesses and criminals did is like saying the innocent people weren't sinners as well.Are we not all born with sin?Does God not control the heavens and the earth?.He can foretell what is to come and for those people who died because of katrina,it was thier time.No need to blame the government.if those "innocent people" were true to god and his will,they await the rewards that are to come in due to time.
Everyone needs to understand that god also tests people.katrina put thousands out to be homeless.Yes,it's sad,but God would not have done it without a purpose.To test them and thier faith and commitment to him maybe?..,but who truley knows?

The Governments- local, state and federal knew Katrina was coming and didn't prepare for it. They (the govts) knew the city was vulnerable and did very little to prepare for it.
