An excellent exercise for this is to step up on one step, then down, and then alternate and use the other leg and step up, then down . do this for at least ten repetitions to begin. You can do this several times a day and increase the repetitions every three days. this will strengthen the knee.

Before you start a home exercises program, you need to find out WHY your knees are 'popping out of joint.' It doesn't just happen for no reason. What do you mean by 'popping out of joint'? Do your knees pop and crack? If you have a physical problem, certain exercises can make it worse. Get checked out by a doctor.
