Make a small amount of beef bulion and add a few drops of liquid smoke then mix it into the minced beef. It will season the meat, add a beefy flavour, and make them even juicier.

A little goes a long way with it though since too much will leave the burgers salty.

Buy a really fat piece of meat, and trim off the meat. Grind it up and mix it with the minced beef you already have. The cutting blade on your food processor works nicely. About 8 or 10 pulses will get it to the right size.

Lean meat doesn't have much taste to it; it's the fat that adds the flavor.
