I allow myself a few moments when I feel the need to listen to some old tunes and remember my yesterdays, both happy and sad. I am either the most optimistic person I know, or some slight dementia has set in, but I will soon be fifty-eight, and I still feel like the best is yet to come. My today is based to a large degree of the sum total of where I was during my yesterdays.

Time heals, but if you pick at the scab that covers the wound it can re-open, and even get infected.

Time does not heal without us doing the work. If you want to wallow in yesterday's difficulties, it may be hard to say goodbye to yesterday; and even harder to face the new trials of today!

GET OVER IT!!!

Yesterday, specifically, no. Yesterday, figuratively, yes. I have a hard time with change so everytime somebody or something I love exits my life, I spend a fair amount of time feeling sad or nostalgic.

In the literal sense? No. Yesterday sucked.
In the figurative sense? Absolutely.

its hard to say goodbye to some of the past, not all of it.

it can be painful when u realize that you are losing memories you used to hold so dear, that those u grew up with have disappeared...

I'm suffering because of yesterday, and I can't forget yesterday. Yesterday is a big part in my life, it can't be forgotten in a wink. Sorry

No... I just fall asleep with her and when I wake, she's gone! yesterday is such a sweet girl, but she never stays the whole night.

Seemed pretty heartfelt when Boyz II Men said so.
Never really tried myself though.
