At your local Wal-mart, you should be able to recycle plastic bags (bin usually in the front of the store), motor oil (at the auto center), used cell phones (mailers they have at the customer service desk or at the office in the back), paper and plastic (recycling bins).

www.walmartstores.com has Wal-marts commitment to the enviroment.

Used motor oil is the only thing I have ever taken to Walmart for recycling.

I too considered dropping my used motor oil off at Wal-mart till they told me what they did with it....they use it to fire their smoke belching furnace for the store!
