Yes all the time!
I have met Christians, rabbis and pundits who have deeply inspired me with their universal messages of love and compassion.
The common factor is that they tend to be humble, genuine and care more about you actively pursuing your spiritual journey (in whatever way you so choose) rather than getting a quick convert.
I have many different religious books in my house, not just those of my particular belief. And I go with my friend to Christmas Mass because there is a priest there who is wonderful and inspiring to listen to.
Wouldn't it be GREAT if we all one day could transcend religion?

Yes. That would be my girlfriend. We do not share the same religion, but her spirituality is beautiful. I'm also very content around many of my non-Christian friends. As for denominational differences, I'm friends with more than one Episcopal priest, and I feel a warm spiritual presence coming from them. Same for a Mennonite friend of mine.

One of my best friends is LDS, I'm Agnostic-Pagan. Never once has he imposed his beliefs, even when I think I'm outstepping my bounds speaking about mine. We've taken part in each other's religions and we're fine. We are both peaceful people, so we can talk about religion without imposing and without fighting. At the end of the day we put it all aside, he speaks to my spirits and I try to hear his God. I wouldn't give him up for anything.

Well to answer your question, to be totally honest, no, i haven't. Or i don't think i have met someone. I mean, i have friends of different faiths, but i don't seem to feel a certain peace or content-ness around them...
Sorry !!

yes, in school my psychology teacher was catholic and teach us logic. funny because most religious people believe in faith and not logic.i had always believed in God but i never really liked religious people much because i thought they were hypocrites. he was not a hypocrite though. he never forced his religion on us but he combined it with logic. i felt so smart when i left his class. i felt like i really truly could say i understood life and god and why things were the way they were. he made me a believer with out noticing it. it wasn't just me. my friend is Islamic and she loved his class and what he told us even though she was of a whole other religon.

Oddly, I have found that in my husband. He is Catholic and I am a non-Christian on my own path - between the 2 of us we have a greater understanding, not only of our own faiths and each other's faiths, but a really feeling of connectivity of all faiths. It's remarkable.
Peace!

I have met people of all different types of religions, but I did not feel the "truth eminating from them."
This sort of "truth" is relative.
