No, he is not Mormon. If he were, that would have been the lead on this story, and it would have been shouted in 6 inch letters from every front page.

It shows that no one is perfect, and everybody makes mistakes (some bigger than others). It doesn't really speak to Christians, Mormons or Republicans as a whole, any more than Mike Vick pleading guilty does not speak of the behavior as a whole of blacks, football players or people from Virginia.
