I mean this as no offense to Jr fan's ,but please tell me honestly what difference does it make what # Jr gets .
I mean if he were my favorite driver all that would matter is that he has a ride with a top notch team
Jr is still Jr no matter what car number he gets .
I don't see anyone upset that he didn't get the Bud sponsor or going on wondering what his new sponsor will be .
BTW...why can't Jr take the #5 and deal with it ?What makes him such a pc(privileged character) that he has to have a totally different number ?It's just a number ,so what does it matter?

The latest I have heard is that a deal is in the works with Robert Yates to allow Jr to have the number 38.

Latest rumor is that the #38 may be up for grabs and that Junior is interested in that Number. However this is only a rumor; though a very publicized and popular one at the moment.

It is a pretty big deal for Jr fans and I think the whole tattoo artist is blown out of proportion. I am not sure that many people have #8 tattoos.

I hope not. I'm a tattoo artist and warned all those idiots not to get them tat's just for the very reason. Now I'll make a butt load more cash with doing cover ups.

Nothing is offical yet, could be the 81,38,88,5... Tatoo artists will be making tons of money....I will be happy with any of the numbers I'm sure Jr and HMS will announce this before end of the season.. I bet there will be a major press conference for it as well...
