i first want to thank everyone who answered my questions for christians before because it gave me a really good understanding on the religion.
those explanations on original sin and the chrisitian belief that jesus died to forgive there sins lead me to this question:

do you belive that all christians get to go to heaven even if you sin in this world? i.e....murder....rape...and do bad things. since you belive jesus died to forgive your sins does that mean none can go to hell even if they do wrong or do people who sin still go to hell?

again i am not arguing or trying to prove anything i want an understanding of YOUR religion and beliefs. (i am devote muslim and i feel it is important to understand other religions).

No its not a free pass. We are tested by temptation and sin. We have to choose to live the life we are supposed to lead. Everyone will sin in some way. Jesus' death allows our forgiveness of sin. **our forgiveness is not an automatic thing. We have to want it and understand it in order to receive it. Sinning and saying "I'm sorry" only to turn around and do it again is not acceptable.

there are many so called Christians who think they are going to heaven but they are not even the bible says so.i do not believe the once saved always saved nonsense either.if you are saved but do not turn your life around and stop sinning then you can be lost still.you cannot go to church confess your sins to a mere man and be forgiven, only Jesus saves.people who try and change the words and laws of GOD to suit themselves will burn even longer than the others before they are consumed in the lake of fire and forgotten!!!even the religious leaders of Christ time were not living in accordance with GODS will and were making a mockery of the truth,so blind they did not even know GODS own son!!!

Hello htats a pretty nice question! well i will start with the fact that not every christian goes to heaven!!! Even if the person didnt do all that bad stuff he still wont go to heaven! jesus is the only way u can get to heaven! we have to let him in to our heart! u have to be reborn from above and u have to have the holy spirit in u!!!!! God is not only a religion, he is the only true almighty God! every REAL christian feels that in his heart, we can actually feel how he changes our lifes! he brings love,,joy, harmony, peace into your heart!! i will pray for u! isee that u kind of like christianity! i will pray that god could save u! so that he opened your eyes for u and u would understand what u have been missing!!!!

Jesus died for YOU.

Heaven has nothing to do with Christians.

Heaven has nothing to do with other people who sin.

Jesus offers a personal relationship -- YOU can have a personal relationship with the spirit of Jesus that enters your heart, and lives in you. And if you respond to that spirit, then you don't have to worry about being a murderer or rapist, or seriously sinning like that, because you're guided by a living spirit.

If you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, and you believe that God raised him from the dead, then the spirit of Jesus will enter you, comfort you, and guide you, and you will be saved.

You don't have to worry about hell, or following religious rules, or anything else -- because you will feel the love of Christ in your heart, and you will respond to that love.

EVERYONE has that opportunity to connect to the creator. It's such a massive idea, that most people can't begin to understand. But it really is that simple.

Godspeed you on your journey of discovery.

Those who believe in Jesus also believe in His commandments. If they do not follow His commandments they don't really believe in Him after all... do they?

Jesus prophecied that at the judgment day "Many shall say Lord, Lord, have we not done many wonderful works in thy name" and the Lord shall say to them "I know ye not, depart from me ye workers of iniquity". Jesus then goes on to say that many shall take the broad way that leads to destruction and only a few will take the narrow way that leads to salvation. He states that those who "keep my sayings" are the ones built on the rock and shall survive the floods, while those who do not keep his sayings are those who are built on a sandy foundation and shall be swept away.

Sure they are many hypocrites among Christians... just as there are hypocritical people of other religions.

Even Paul, one of the greatest of Apostles, said he keeps his body under subjection (control) lest after all his preachings and sufferings... in the end he himself would be a castaway.

Jesus did not come to save us IN our sins but FROM our sins. Grace is the OPPORTUNITY to repent and be forgiven without punishment. However those who refuse that chance and die in their sins... there is no forgiveness.
