I am a Canadian Citizen , I want to know how long it would take to get paper for my husband. Would it be 6 months? or how long for them to complete the papers? My husband is from Mexico. And what do I need for my child? My child will be born in the USA. But what do I need far as papers for the child?

Someone please help. THANKS!

I answered some of this for you previously a few weeks ago in a different question. Here is information again, specifically and in more detail.

1) Expect the process of applying for permanent resident status for your husband to take 1-3+ years and to cost around $1,500 in application fees and associated costs.

2) If you apply for a visitor visa for your husband, from outside Canada, you should be able to get it within 6 months. This will allow him to move to Canada with you, and then apply for permanent resident status while living in Canada. Time for processing of permanent residence status should be 9-18 months, costs around $1,500. He can apply for a work visa partway through the application process.

3) As soon as your child is born, contact the Canadian Embassy nearest you, and register your childs birth. This will assure his/her Canadian Citizenship status. You will need this information/documentation for your child in the future, since he/she is being born outside of Canada.

if you are not living in Canada you may not be able to sponsor him....... you must prove you can support him for a long time as he will not be entitled for government assistance

it is not easy to get immigration for Mexicans, your child will be American so you will probably have to apply for immigration for the baby too
long and expensive process

get in touch with immigration and citizenship Canada

Many women are being sent to the US to have their babies, from BC. This is because medical services have gotten so bad in BC.

It can take a long time to get his status, please refer to Canada Immigration and make sure you can get through all the hoops required before you pay your fees.
