I have currently lived in the SF bay area for a year so things are still new to me. I moved here for graduate school and if I thought I was broke before moving out here I was wrong. Finances have seriously made my life nearly unbearable at this point and I've had to go part-time for my degree which will now take about 6 six years to finish instead of 4. I've also had a hard time finding jobs. I live in Vallejo which means I commute a lot ( my summer job was part time and I spent 80 bucks a week just in gas/tolls). I wish there was something closer but I can't afford to move to other parts of the bay area. I'm willing to commute to work either car or bart. Does anyone know any good companies to work for here especially ones that may be a bit flexible? I'm looking for full or part time positions particularly in the administrative branch but I'm willing to take on anything even if it's a store/retail type job. Any suggestions?

I really feel for you. I would offer you a job as one of my team members but that would be solicitation and I do not want to break the rulz. I used to live close to the Bay area I know how hard it can get. Have you checked with your school counselors they probably know th area and can start you in a direction that would benefit your major.
