You will find it extremely difficult to talk to Christians as a former Christian. They simply do not choose to believe that anyone could just change their minds. I'm a former Christian, too, but I long ago gave up discussing my falling away with Christians. My mother, a Methodist Sunday school teacher, eventually accepted it, so if necessary, I quote her on the subject. She said, "Well, I won't pester you about it, but I will keep praying for you." I said that was OK, but it wasn't necessary for her to keep telling me she was praying for me, and she agreed. We got along fine after that.

1 John 2 says that if you aren't a Christian now, you weren't then either. You betrayed Jesus, not the other way around.
And you can get saved at any time, by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins and rose again, to deliver you from eternal hell. But if you reject that to your dying breath, eternal hell will be the result for you.

You were betrayed by you own misunderstanding, Satan or demons, not Jesus Christ. You probably thought you were a Christian, but you were not even close. If you want to make sure you are truly a Christian, read the following.
How to be Saved from Your Sins!
The Holy Bible in Hebrews 11:6 says:
“But without (saving) faith it is impossible to please him (God); for he that cometh to God must believe (have faith) that he (God) is, and that he (God) is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (God).” Parentheses mine!
Notice this is talking about saving faith.
What is saving faith?
Saving faith is faith to believe that, if you diligently seek Him, God will reward you with salvation from sins, death and hell.
From where does saving faith come?
Saving faith comes from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
"23Peace be to the brethren, and love with (saving) faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." Parenthesis mine. Ephesians 6:23.
This is also talking about saving faith or faith to believe God.
How do we get this saving faith that comes from God and the Lord Jesus Christ? We get it from God's word, The Holy Bible.
"17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17.
In order to obtain faith we should not only hear the word of God, The Holy Bible, but also, read, study, memorize and meditate upon it.
The only way to go to heaven when you die is to, by faith, acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only true and living God.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (that Jesus is Lord) and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believed unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Parenthesis mine. Romans 10:9-10.
You must, by faith, acknowledge the fact that the blood Jesus Christ shed for you at Calvary is the only thing that can forgive, remove and cleanse you from all you sins.
You must, by faith, acknowledge you are a sinner.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23.
"9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9.
"6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isiaiah 53:6.
"6But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Isaiah 64:6.
What are the immediate results of sin?
"1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:" Ephesians 2:1-2.
"13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;" COlossians 2:13.
You are spirituallly dead to God and alive to sins.
What are the eternal results of sins?
You must, by faith, acknowledge you will die eternally for your sins.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23.
Now here is the good news.
You do not have to die eternally for your sins.
Remember back in Isaiah 53:6?
"6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isiaiah 53:6.
This is saying that God the Father has laid all our sins on His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the substitute who took all our sins upon Himself on the cross of Calvary and died there for all our sins.
"21For he (God the Father) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him ( Jesus Christ)." Parentheses mine. II Corinthians 5:21.
"30But of him (God the Father) are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:" Parenthesis mine. I Corinthians 1:30.
These are two of the most powerful verses in The Holy Bible. Jesus Christ was made to be our sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. Not only that, Jesus Christ is also made unto us wisdom sanctification and redemption.
Jesus Christ takes our sin and gives us His righteousness.
Knowing that you need forgiveness of all your sins, you need to, by faith, turn from all your sins to live for Jesus Christ the rest of your life.
What does it mean to turn from your sins. It means to repent or give up your sins. It means to turn from your sins to Jesus Christ.
You must, by faith repent of your sins, give up your sins or turn from your sins to Jesus Christ.
"30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" Acts17:30.
You must, by faith, ask Jesus Christ to forgive all your sins and invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life to live there forever.
"But as many as received him (Jesus Christ), to them gave he the power to come sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on his name.” Parenthesis mine. John 1:12.
You must, by faith, give your heart and life to Jesus Christ to live for Him day by day.
You must then, by faith, seek to please Him, love, honor and obey Him as best you know how.
All of this is what is meant when the Lord Jesus Christ said:
“Jesus answered, and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto, Except a man be born again , he cannot see the kingdom of God (go to heaven).” Parenthesis mine. John 3:3.
You were born physically into your earthly family. To go to heaven you must be born again spiritually into your heavenly family, God's spiritual family.
Salvation is a free gift. You cannot work for it. You cannot be good enough to earn it. You must, by faith, receive it as a free gift.
“8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
You must also know that God does not want you to go to hell. He wants you to be in Heaven with Him when you die.
"9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." II Peter 3:9
You must learn to hear, read, study, memorize and meditate on The Holy Bible to learn how to live for Him.
If you never have, I pray you will do all this today, without delay.
YOU CAN TALK TO JESUS CHRIST JUST LIKE YOU WERE TALKING TO ANYONE ELSE. HE IS A PERSON JUST LIKE YOU, EXCEPT, OF COURSE, HE IS HOLY AND SINLESS.
