Never used Linux, so I don't know.
Between a PC and a Mac, you need to consider what you are using it for. If you just want to use Office, never play games, and use Photoshop, then get a Mac ONLY if you never want to upgrade it and want it to freeze all the time. If you do get an overpriced Mac, then download Firefox. Safari has limited compatibility.
So the answer is a PC, obviously.

I assume you are talking about OSes, Macs of lesser version than X used to crash-o-rama and possibly the worst OS since it was entirely based on ancient Apple code.
PCs are still ahead in expandability in both software and hardware, so I would still say PCs are better, Linux being second and Macs are way behind.

What a poorly thought out question this is. You need to specify your requirements for any sort of reasonable answer. Each system has its strengths/weaknesses.
** Edit **
Why not throw UNIX, VAX, or Mainframes into this question too? What about obsolete systems like the C64 or Tandy? How many modern computer operators were raised on the affordable early systems and now influence the design of the modern systems?
I'll still restate that your quested is poorly stated to "troll" for answers. Please indicate what you hope to accomplish with this question. You can't possibly state which is best without understanding what to measure the system against.
Example: (Q1) Which operating system is the most flexible for integrating into an embedded device and allows for customization and optimization of core OS components? (A1) Linux
(Q2) Which OS would allow the widest game selection? (A2) MS Windows
(Q3) Which operating system provides the most scalable file system? (A3) Solaris via the ZFS or Linux via RFS.
(Q4) Which operating system has multi-threaded software for scientific modelling of drug interaction? (A4) Linux in a clustered environment.
Your question is very similar to asking "What is the best color? Cyan, Magenta, Yellow?"
Noticed a previous statement from you about people who provide negative comments toward MS Vista. I recently (two weeks ago) purchased two new PCs with MS Vista and compared to other operating systems that I've dealt with, I can't give MS Vista a positive review yet. I've dealt with MS Windows 3.1/3.1.1(WFW) through MS Windows Vista, MS Windows NT 3.51 - MS Windows 2003 Server, Dec Ultrix, Solaris 2.5.1 - Solaris 10, AIX, IRIX, HP-UX, Red Hat Linux, Suse Linux, and probably others that I've forgotten. I have been both an administrator and a user of all these systems. The security improvements are a step in the right direction but they are still hacks on top of MS Windows NT technology. At least they did change the ability to run with administrative rights, but the prompts for any increased privilege will be clicked without reading by non-system admin type people. It is closer to the "sudo" or "su" of UNIX/Linux systems though. I also find that MS Vista has a lot of changes, just for the sake of change (i.e. why did Microsoft change the start menu yet again?).
