You know, that is an interesting question. If, as the Christians claim, he was God Himself, then he didn't have a soul, exactly, but something a lot bigger and more important. Or is a "soul" nothing more nor less than a piece of God?

Just goes to show we don't really know very much, do we? I mean, there's a lot of faith out there, but actual knowledge?

I assume that you are asking if the man who was Christ (and not some other Jesus) had a soul.

If Christ did not have a soul, he would not be human. If he was human, he had (has?) a soul.

So, what about this Christ was (is) different? Connection with Divinity. Most humans have a horribly distorted view-point of Divinity. About the same as a virus riding on the back of an elephant having an idea about what the elephant is.

Christ was (is) connected. The connection was (is) perfect. Christ knew (knows) Divinity in an undistorted way.

Love one another. A simple message. This is about all that humanity could (can) understand. The problem is not with the messenger or the message. The problem was and is humanity. We are not connected to Divinity. If we were, we would be more Christ-like and far less selfish.

"Father (sounds like a close relationship to me), into your hands (metaphor for doing, being) I commit my spirit (soul)". The Christ was not speaking of his physical body, but his soul. Going home.

Prophecy concerning Jesus says...

Acts 2:31
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his SOUL was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Psalm 16:10
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Don't forget, Jesus Christ was ALL man, and ALL God. God was "manifest" in the flesh.

Faith and knowlege here: A man has a soul. The Spirit infused in human flesh. This is why He is called, Emmanuel, which is being interpreted, God with us.

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. Posters should read other's posts carefully before slamming other posters.

Yeshua is God manifested in the flesh. He was not a mere mortal man. Nothing was created without him.

This is an excellent question. My first impulse is to say "no" but then he wouldn't be "fully man," would he? To tell you the truth, I really don't know.

I don't know, but I'd like to know if he *had* soul?
You never hear about Jesus singing.
How can you trust someone who doesn't sing?

Yes, with His last dying breaths He said "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."
