The Bible does not mention homosexuality nor consenting homosexual relationships at all, it does seem to condemn pederasty, same-sex rape and sacred same-sex Pagan temple "prostitution" none of which are features of consenting homosexual relationships.

I fully recognise that not all Christians choose to be confused anti-gay bigots.

Leviticus: "And with a male you shall not lay lyings of a woman", nobody today knows for sure what this means, it likely refers to paederastic sex with young male slaves by otherwise married heterosexual men as was common at the time and thought little of by the majority of the population then. Gay men don't generally have sex with women at all, so they can hardly have sex with men as they do women, it's not about homosexual men.

For someone who has been brainwashed from birth to believe everything his or her pastor says, without checking the Bible to back it up, or has never been taught how to interpret the Bible, that person has little choice in the matter. Their brain's ability to think for itself has never formed correctly, they are like robots. Just my opinion.

Can you point out any Christians who are afraid of someone who is a homosexual? Because I've never even heard of any. Until you can, your question is irrelevant. However, homosexuality is a sin; God condemns it. But sin does not equal hate. If you insist on falsely claiming Christians hate just because we don't condone sexuality, then that only illustrates your vindictiveness and need to spread lying propaganda. So either way, your question is moot.

Homosexuality is mentioned all throughout the Bible. If you actually read the Bible, you'll find your answer (1 Cor. 6:9-10, Romans 1:24-27).

Um...to an extent, yes. From what I've heard, the Bible only condemns homosexual intercourse, it does NOT condemn the sexual orientation itself, so just so long as a homosexual doesn't act on their homosexual mating urges, the Bible doesn't say they're doing anything wrong.

That said, christians who have faith in the word of God precisely as written in the Bible must necessarily believe that homosexual intercourse is sinful. This is stated in Leviticus 18:22:

I don't think there is any room for compromise here; any christian who believes that it is okay to have homosexual intercourse is believing that the word of God as written in the Bible is incorrect. I'm still not sure how people validate this 'abstract interpretation of the Bible' stuff...basically it amounts to 'God lied'.

As an atheist, of course, I have no problem with homosexuality or homosexual intercourse. I mean, it doesn't affect me, who cares if it doesn't happen to match my sexual instincts?

Yes. Our attitudes are a choice. Our behavior is a choice. The thoughts we dwell on are a choice. The same is true of those who have a same-sex attraction, as well as those who believe that homosexual behavior is wrong. The way we interpret the Bible, either for or against a particular practice, is a choice. Choose wisely.

Romans 1:26-27, Leviticus 18:22, and Leviticus 20:13.
Common sense (something no longer common) should also make this an obvious flaw of society. If significant AIDS and Hepatitis increases upon homosexual communities hasn't taught you anything...

People are so bad off anymore that they can no longer fathom what is right and wrong. And it's going to cost us. Pedophilia accounts for approximately 1/3 of Internet pornography sales. Wait until it 'comes out of the closet'.

Judaism and Christianity have an unbroken line of testimony about the morality of homosexuality. For example, Leviticus 18:22 says, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.”

The Hebrew word “toevah” (abomination) is the Bible’s strongest term of censure for offenses like idolatry, temple prostitution, child sacrifice, and homosexuality. We're not talking about ritually uncleanliness, a sort of taboo. Incest, adultery, and intercourse with an animal are also "toevah."

The unique insight of Judaism, carried over into Christianity, is that all sexual activity is reserved for marriage. The Bible forbids not only homoerotic coupling, but all extramarital sex as incompatible with the sexual exclusivity of marriage.

Reserving sex for marriage meant that husbands had to look to their wives for sexual fulfillment, not to other men, prostitutes, or boys. This required wives to be treated with much greater respect, equality, and tenderness. More than any other factor, restricting sex to marriage elevated the status of women.

yes, having a fear of gays can be a choice. And you could not be more wrong about gay sex being absent from scriptures. Being gay is also a choice. Many people have thoughts that are wrong. But what makes it wrong is to act upon them. For anyone to say that God has made to mention of homsexuality, shows that they have not read or understood anything in the Bible. Plus, dont forget that Christians are not the only religion that realizes that it is a sin.

Plenty of times I have wanted to slap the daylights out of dumb customers or just some individual in general. But I can control my feelings and treat them properly.

I have no fear of gays, as you may want to belive, but that doesnt mean I think it is not wrong. Just b/c someone doesnt agree with your lifestyle, doesnt mean they hate you & want you dead. It means they dissagree. I dissagree with my brother on certain social issues, but I still love him as my brother & respect his possition. I dont hate him b/c of it. I dont agree that they should be beaten up, killed or not be able to get a loan.

Consenting fornicating homosexual sex is explicitly prohibited. Not only in scripture but also within nature. Man is created for woman and vice versa. Emotionally and physically. It's just that obvious. There is a reason God made them male and female. Consenting does not make it right.

uh - what exactly do you even mean by "anti gay bigot"???

The Bible is very clear about homosexual relations. The letter Paul wrote to the church in Rome is very clear. Today, we refer to it as Romans chapter 1.

Do I hate homosexuals, NO! Do I fear homosexuals (homophobic)? NO!

Do I think that homosexuality is a sin? Yes. So is adultery (even lusting after another person in your heart), lying, murder (even the attitude of murder in your heart - murderous thoughts) and blasphemy (using the name of God in a manner unworthy of His Character).

Will homosexuality keep you out of heaven? Reverse the question and ask, "If a homosexual quits being a homosexual, will that get him into heaven?" No.

The only thing that gets us into heaven is the blood of Jesus shed in payment for OUR sins (ie crimes against God).

But remember, ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Furthermore, sin pays us back in death "The wages of sin is death." There is no escaping judgement.

But remember this much, God sent His Son to save the world, not to condemn it.

He offers us a pardon (based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and His shed blood made in payment for our sins) if we would just confess and forsake our sins, ask God to forgive us, and ask Him to be the Lord (boss) of our lives.

The offer is real, and the offer is valid. But the offer expires when you do. Right now, He will be your Savior. After you die, however, He will be your judge.

The ball is now in your court. Will you reject His offer for salvation? Or will you reject it?

Personally, I would recommend that you accept His offer. In fact, God even cries out, "Choose Life, that you may live" (Jesus said "I am Life.") He said, "I do not take pleasure in the death of the wicked. I don't want ANY to perish, but that ALL should come to repentance."

The Bible does specifically speak of it. In the Old Testament it says a man should leave his father and a woman her mother and the two should cleave as one. A man should not lye with a man as he does with a woman. Paul also writes about it in the New Testament.
