I used to volunteer at a no-kill shelter and we had one very large cat. He was not fat by any means. He was just large and very muscular. He also had a large head. He’s not one of those really long cats.

Is there a breed of cat who’s size is larger than any other breed?

It was not a Maine Coon. It had very short hair and looked like a lynx. It was HUGE.

Yes there are some cats that are large in size
Savannah's
On average, early generation Savannahs may weigh 10 to 25 lbs. Average size is also very dependent on generation and sex, with F1 male cats usually being the largest. Later generation Savannahs are usually between 8-17 lbs. Because of the random factors in Savannah hybrid genetics, there can be significant variation in size, even in one litter. Some breeders report Savannahs in excess of 30 pounds, with at least one breeder claiming an over 40 pound male.
MainCoon Cat
Bengal Cat
Asian Leopard cat
Egyptian Au cat
Abyssinan Cat
Just to name a few

The Maine Coons can get to be quite large in size. Another breed very similar to the maine coon is the Norwegian Forest Cat. They can get to be about the same size as a maine coon. My cat is probably a Maine Coon/Norwegian Forest Cat cross (not known for sure) and he weighs a good 20 lbs.

Maine coon cats tend to be larger than the average American short-hair. Male cats tend to have larger heads than females -- I have noticed that when you take a feral cat and hand raise it, many of them can get really large and muscular -- I think it may be because of their being strong enough over generations to have survived outdoors without much care; they just seem to be genetically programmed to survive a subsistence lifestyle. Consequently, when they receive the care of a family, they really 'bloom'. I have a feral and she's awesome -- tough as nails and large and lush and a gorgeous tuxedo!

Hi... Maine Coon cats can get up to 25 - 29 pounds -- the males, specifically, but I'm sure there have been incidences of females getting large, too.

Not unlike people, i'm sure cats can come in all shapes and sizes.

People who are disproportionately large, can have certain genetic issues which cause their overgrown appearance. So maybe this can be true of animals?

take care.

I have 2 boy Maine coon cats that are both 5 years old. One of them is 11 pounds while his bigger brother is 20 pounds.

A friend of mine also has 2 ragdoll kittens who I've heard are quite big once fully grown.

In addition to the breeds in the answers above, I believe that Norwegian Forest cats and Siberian cats are also large and long-haired. Must have something to do with the cold weather.

Maine Coons are large...there are newer breeds like the Bengal that are large but also you really have to like overactive cats.

Maine Coon's are very large breeds and they like walking on leashes.

I have a Bengal which can grow very large. Males can get up to 20 lbs and they are lean and very muscular. But I think you would know if it were a Bengal because they look like mini leopards. You should have added what colors/markings this cat had.

:)
