this goes completely against my view of islam, and i am shocked to see that the base of operations is in the saudi, a place i always respected.

'Learned' people? You must be careful who you judge as being learned! The best way to find knowledge is to seek it yourself because obviously there are those who would lie to you for their own ends.
Muslims are a particularly tricky group given that the 'good' ones i.e. the ones who genuinely don't have murderous intentions and think Islam is about peace and tolerance etc. have been misled somewhere along the line, which means that if they know this already, they will be loath to educate you to the truth of the matter - since to do so makes them look guilible. On the other hand, there are Muslims who *do* have murder in their hearts, as all proper Muslims *should* have (since it's written in their bible, the Koran). However, you'll also be unlikely to learn this truth from them since then you'd be less likely to become one of their victims (which is the intended fate of 'infidels')! Thus, I would advise you to read the Koran for yourself. Don't let anyone tell you that 'Islam' means 'Peace'; it doesn't (it means 'surrender', and comes from the war cry of Mohammed when he led an army into Mecca in 630A.D. or so and slaughtered everyone who wouldn't join his new religion). Instead, look the word up in a dictionary.
One final word: having read the Koran, you'll realise why this religion causes so much trouble and the author Salman Rushdie called it the Satanic Verses; it states in it that anyone who speaks against the religion, the Koran, or Mohammed (as I have just done) must be killed! Yet it ALSO states that any Muslim who does not do his religious duties, will be tortured in the afterlife for all eternity! So although you will become more knowledgeable, your knowledge may cost you your life if you try even to spread the truth about their own crazy 'holy ' canon!
Perhaps it is already becoming clear why few Muslims cease being Muslims (unless they blow themselves up); even if you show him the facts, they oblige him to kill you for it, or else his God will torture him forever (as well as the fact that if he ceases to believe, he becomes an infidel too - and must die for that!)!

I speak some Arabic and I studied the QURAN, while I spent many years in Egypt. It is a shame that too many people have not learned tolerance. That is the best thing about the USA, you are allowed to practice your religion, any way you like. Do you know the QURAN mentions the Christian Bible, but the Christian Bible and the Jewish Torah, does not even recognize MOHAMED. That should tell you something about their religions.

that was very strange. i didn't finish watching the video. but i got to the part about how non-muslims are liars and they can't be trusted. but i can't understand how he could be an imam, filled w/ so much hate. because if he truely knew about our religion then he would know that insulting people and hatred of others s against it. he is a prime example of someone who has started to read the Quran, but didn't finish. he read half of an iyat, but not the other, which helps explain it. but i could not have sat there and listened to that crap. and i am muslim

Some people have wrong knowledge of islam. That SCARES me!!! they think they are right but they are wrong. I mean our prophet muhammad (pbuh) said we should be peaceful and be kind and tolerant to other religions. This is wrong. The end of times is close, i fear.

That is, kill unbelievers and those who do you wrong. It even tells you to kill those who convert to a different religion!
