I only work part-time, so I don't really get a lunch break. What can I eat at my desk that isn't messy, yet totally yummy. I don't even have time to run out and get anything, I have to bring it with me.

~A sandwich and baby carrots
~A wrap with a small side salad
~Hummus and pita bread (or veggies) with a small fruit salad
~Cheese and crackers and fruit (but you have to leave the wine at home!! lol)

EDIT: that might work...I certainly won't tell anyone! :-D

You can have a great variety of things! Right this minute I am eating a grilled cheese sandwich I made at home this morning on sourdough bread, with potato salad from the deli at my local supermarket. Work never stops for me either -- there is no "lunch break" in my profession (you know that). So I just take a few minutes the night before or that morning before work, and the planning pays off. Radishes and celery sticks are good when you put them in a Glad container with ice. And tuna sandwiches always taste good. Even tostados and tacos from dinner the night before can turn into a lunch for you. Use your imagination! Almost anything you have for dinner the night before can make a delicious lunch (especially if you have a microwave at work). Sometimes I simply bring a container of Stovetop Suffing or Rice-a-Roni to work. Go to the deli at your local supermarket and buy the ready-made pasta salads and cole slaws and even ready-to-eat barbequed chickens. In addition to all of these things, you will get ideas for your desk lunch there. Go and see. You will be pleasantly surprised. Bon appetite, my friend!

I've started making wraps every day. a little foil around the bottom makes it mess free

wraps:
cold cuts
tuna and mayo
chicken salad
peanut butter and jellyor fluff or both
peanut butter and apples or bananas or both

we usually use anything from dinner the night before to make wraps, corn off the cob is great in wraps and so is zucchini
