Please be aware that there are a lot of 'Job Applicant' scams going around ..

Did you get an eMail 'out of the blue' (from some-one you never heard of, for a job you never applied for) 'inviting' you to UAE ??

If so, it's most likely to be a scam == you will be told to send them money for your plane ticket &/or accomadation (no you can't arrange it yourself = it's a condition of the 'job offer' that you use their facilities) ..

Of course no tickets will ever arrive = instead you will get excuses and attempts to scam you for even more money .. for example sudden problems like 'visa fees' or 'fuel surcharges' or whatever will arrise

Eventually some-one might email you telling you it's all a con .. and you can get your money back by (guess what ?) sending THEM some 'court fee' or whatever ..

From wikkidedia ...
"Sometimes, victims are invited to a country to meet real or fake government officials. Some victims who do travel are instead held for ransom. In some rumored cases they are smuggled into the country without a visa and then threatened into giving up more money, as the penalties for being in a foreign country without a visa are severe. In the most extreme cases the victim has even been murdered."

Finally, all the details they conned out of you (photo-copies of your Passport, bank details etc) are sold on to Identity thieves ...

I am not in airlines industry. But in general terms, open days are not interviews. They are made for mutual sharing of information. They are made to help you self assess and assess the job that you may be going into. ie, you may wish to ask them questions and get information regarding the type of job, the working hours, flexibility, pay, promotions, training etc. You may wish to take your CV (may be on a memory card) and when the opportunity pops up, tell about yourself. Sometimes they take a copy of your CV. If they are in urgent need of someone and they find your profile interesting, they may conduct an onsite interview as well.
