Most are not sins, there natural behavior, even if ugly, your lesser brain rewards you with dopamine when stimulated, this process drives many human activities and mankind has a hard time overriding the lesser brain with the cerebral cortex or grey matter. We all have a hard time controlling the impulses of our lesser brain, your sense of smell is hard-wired right to your lesser brain, the others must pass through your grey matter first. Your instincts are also hard-wired into your lesser brain. Bottom line is that many of these impulses are coined sin by religion.

It isn't selfish if your'e speaking of the selfless act God did for us.That was God's plan. He offered. Nobody really thinks of expecting someone else to die for their sin when speaking of salvational reasons because noone can anymore since Jesus's death and ressurection was perfect. He finished it . But if you are talking in terms of individuals, not Jesus, who commit a crime and someone else gets the blame and they are put to death for it, that is definitely selfish.

I wouldn't want anyone to die for my sins. They're mine after all, and I don't see how someone else's death negates my responsibility for my behavior. If a sin is so easily transferred, why did the religious practice of scapegoating ever fall into disuse?

We didn't "want" someone to die for our sins. God just went ahead and did it because he loves us. It's not about our selfishness, it's about his grace. It was a gift.
You don't ask your friends to buy you expensive gifts for your birthday do you? It it selfish of you when they get you something nice that you didn't expect and didn't ask for?

No my savior already did. What is selfish is to not live your life devoted to someone who was willing to die to give you life.

A person who is living a corrupt, "sinful" life, and wishes to change, must die in a symbolic sense and be reborn into their new, cleaner life.

cant nobody else die for your sins. if you are not forgiven for you sins by God you will die at you appointed time. no one else can die for your sins you die for your own thats impossible for some one else to die for you sins. only one who died for your sins is Jesus. he sacraficed his self for us. but no one else can
