I was surprised to hear that (from you). I went online and checked it out. It's 'just' southern California that's closing up. I don't like Wonder bread. It has too much air. But I know that most kids like it. Still, I don't like to see people getting laid off and for most any business to close. It's a bit sad. They've been around since 1911.

Well, considering that it's made with refined and bleached flour, I think it's end is such a bad thing. Why people ever took all of the nutrition out of bread and made it so bland is beyond me. I guess it's time for more healthy alternatives. I suppose I do feel bad for those who will lose their jobs.

I loved it as a kid, but now like whole grain breads. I guess most of America does too. Too bad they couldn't come out with a Wonder Whole Wheat.

Sad for those who will lose their job - but it was inevitable since they did not keep up with the times and make a healthier bread. I hope this is a temporary shutdown for reorg and not a true closure.
