Dogs (animals in general) have allergies just like humans do... She could be allergic to something in your house. You can talk to you vet and they can give her a simple shot to help remedy her sneezing.
Also, do you have any strong smelling candles, incense or flowers in your house? Dogs can "sneeze" to clear out their sniffers. Dogs can smell things 100 times better than humans can and when they get a strong whiff of something they will sneeze to clear the smell out so that they may smell other things.

The possibility that your dog has a cold are great, but there could be a more serious problem going on. Check for "goopy" eyes which could be a sign that your dog is indeed sick. You can also check the gum color. A healthy dog has nice pink gums whereas an anemic or sickly dog's gums will be more white. If you press on the gums they should turn white and then go back to a nice fleshy pink color. If not there could be something wrong. Now I wouldn't count on these two things alone. Watch the dog's behaviour. Has she slowed down? Is she acting out of the norm? In dogs it's usually easy to tell when they're not feeling well. Make sure she's getting plenty of water and is eating regularly. It's always advisable not to take risks and if you do indeed think that your dog is sick then I would suggest taking her to the vet. Good Luck!

Any other signs or symptoms at all?? Sleepy, yucky eyes, diarrhea, not eating, fever?? Anything? I had a puppy w/ a snotty nose.. No other symptoms at all.. Just sneezing and snot.. I took her to the vet.. He figured she sucked something up her nose, likely milk, possibly food.. He cleaned out her nose, gave her Amoxil for 7 days, the sneezing and snot stopped the next day... Cost me $48. and he checked her from nose to tail, heart, eyes, ears, everything.. She is better, I got the right treatment and it didn't even cost me $50. You should take her to the vet..

Your dog most likely has an upper respiratory infection. Dogs get colds just like people. Usually they resolve on their own, but you should see the vet just in case it is more serious. Especially if the snot is discolored and not clear- which is an indication of a secondary infection and your dog should be on antiboitics. Also, there is a severe canine influenza that is going around certain parts of the country that is extremely dangerous- much worse than the common cold. Don't take any risks, but most likely it will be fine.

My Scottie did this same thing last summer. I finally took her to the vet when it didn't clear up for several days. He put her on an antibiotic and within 3 days she was much better and then got over it. It might be just a small cold, but if it gets worse and doesn't slow down, please see your vet.

Yes you should call the vet. It's either allergies or a respiratory problem, or allergies that could cause a respiratory problem. Either way, your dog needs care, or just like people, could become so ill it won't recover.

Your dog has a cold or allergies. You could cut up some garlic and mix it in it food to help it get well sooner.
