get the Atkins book from the library, it is very helpful for low-carb diets

I would avoid the South Beach, you cannot live on such a diet

There are different types of Cabs so do your research. You do not want to give up your fruits and veggies.
A perfect diet would consist of fruits and veggies...as near raw as possible. No meats of any kinds, or very limited (if you are a meat eater) ABSOLUTELY NONE FRIED. You can breadcrumb you chops and bake them. Much tastier, more healthy no additional fat. Some people think low carb diet means eat all the meat you want and that is extremely unhealthy. You may want to loose some weight but you want to stay healthy so you can enjoy your skinny body.
Some nuts of Omega 3s.(walnuts are good, Almonds are OK but not too many because you are adding calories)
Nothing WHITE, mayo, sugar, salt, pasta, etc.

No matter what you do in the food department, CALORIES IN / CALORIES OUT. You must exercise. that's the part I hate.

If you are trying to loose weight remember that you cannot safely loose more than 2-3 pounds per week, any more than that is water lose and lose of muscle mass. Loose slowly and safely and stay healthy. I've lost about 40 pounds and have been taking a whole food nutritional supplement to help with the quality of health thing.

Lunch today was a big fresh salad of tomato and cucumber and a little ranch dressing; am full and can make the rest of the day.

LOTS OF LUCK, now go walk the dog

Try googling low carb success stories,

this will lead to many interesting and informative sites.

I live low carb, and maintain even with a few indulgences now and again~

but primarily, the first 2 weeks induction period of no more than 15 carbs, and now between 30 and 45 has really worked for me!

Good Luck!!!
