No. Not at all. If I was a god, I would want all people to enjoy the lives they had. I would remain uninvolved but I would make my presence known. I would offer guidance to the people as a whole- via regular visits to my creations and not leaving a flawed technical manual with no basis in reality. If I was a god, I would punish those who decided to commit unjust acts against humanity and people like George W Bush would NEVER never been good candidates for anything other than a mental ward.

I'd show up once. Leave a mark that would never go away.
I'd tell everyone to play nice or suffer dire consequences (and never tell what those consequences were).
Then I'd go around in disguise visiting a lot of pubs. Good beer is good beer.

Why would any self respecting god to be worshiped? Honestly, if you were ALL powerful, what would the rantings of pathetic, selfish, self-centered humans add to that?

That's analogous to a super-fantastic-unbelievable genius wanting the adoration of all 2 year olds.

Not at all.

And I would allow every human being to experience me DIRECTLY, until they understood where I was coming from. What, am I -- an infinite being --going to somehow be short on time?

And I wouldn't punish anyone for wanting to go their own way instead of mine -- already, as a human being, I understand that it's the desire of every good father to see his children grow to stand on their own two feet, and even someday exceed my own accomplishments.

No. Neither does Heavenly Father. He gave us agency.

Yes. I made you and your world, give me credit! I'm pretty sure that's what the big guy upstairs is saying today...
