Take a walk, find a good book to read or call a friend and go see a good movie (preferably a comedy). Since the unexpected death o my husband I have a lot of rough days. These things help me, hope they help you also. Good luck!

Seeing a doctor would be the first thing to do. By seeing a doctor, you will discover if and how depressed you are. Then he could offer some suggestions in regard to meds, activities or anythng else to help with the situation. If seeing a doctor does not appeal to you, try doing some simple activities like any type of sports or workout routines. Sometimes, just getting yourself out and move can improve how you feel and your mood. But, if these ideas don't help, see a doctor. Good luck!!

I get this all the time, partially now in fact. I was told some cool things to do are listen to some upbeat music. Also watch some really cool films, I'm not talking about feel good films where everyone falls in love and the sun comes out and they all live happily ever after. I mean films where someone in a bad place made it and became legend or soemthing.
I was told the rocky films are good. It makes sense, that theme is very upbeat in itself. Also hes the exact sort of guy who didnt have much came from nothing etc etc.
Thats one thing anyway, there are loads of things you can try its whatever works for you really.

The best way to feel better is to start thinking positive...think the opposite of what you're thinking, MAKE YOURSELF DO IT! I know it's going to be difficult and you will feel stupid because I've felt that way before, but TRY IT! it's really good. Then, depending on what you like to do, watch T.V. (a good, laughing t.v. show), read a book, especially if it's funny or spiritual...you can also take a walk and listen to nice music, music that will bring your spirits up...also, you can go to the gym or talk to a friend about what is going on with you.
This is the kind of stuff that has helped me in the past...the other thing I do is go to the dollar theater and watch a funny movie...laughing usually takes the stress away and makes me happy...and when you want to cut yourself, get out there in the crowd, go to public places, I bet you won't do it in front of a crowd!...yeah, don't hurt yourself becaue you're stressed...it doesn't make sense to hurt yourself, love yourself, THAT'S ALL YOU'VE GOT!

I used to be a cutter. Then my best friend put it in perspective for me. So the world hates you? And you hurt YOURSELF? How does that make anysense? You're bf pissed you off? He hurt you? Well cut him! Not yourself! And that made me laugh like crazy.
Now when I get the urge to cut, I take to the streets. I walk. I don't think about anything I just walk and walk and walk to no place in particular. I walk to my legs are screaming and my feet are numb, and then I walk some more. I might even run. Sometimes I run until I can't take it anymore and I fall.
Sounds nuts but its a hundred times better than taking something sharp to your body. And you know what-- sometimes I cry when I run. Lol it makes for a pretty peculiar sight I'm sure but it makes me feel better. If you need someone to talk to just email me, as a former cutter I feel your pain.

Listen to American Rejects: Move Along.
Great song that just about sums it up.
Another thing I used to do is think about the future, which is boundless. You'll find that everything works out in the end. Trust me.
Also, try to stay away from doing things you normally wouldn't when you aren't feeling this way. Like, cutting, or stealing a car. Someday in the near future you will look back and be thankful you didn't do something to ruin your life.

I listen to more upbeat music...
I have a special playlist for those days, it has bands like Sanctus Real, New Found Glory, Avril Lavigne, and Bowling For Soup.
It's still the music I like, but just a little more...happy.
But don't cut.
It's bad for you...
I'd know, I've spent too many nights in a hospital because I almost bled out.
If nothing else, go in your room and beat up your pillow.

You should go see a Dr. and have a check up.. you might need meds... until then, please try talking to a friend that knows how to make you laugh; go see a funny movie; play a sport that wears you out; or just have a good cry and fall asleep. I have bi-polar disorder and sometimes my meds. don't always work on a very bad day... when I get really depressed I have a very good friend who is always up to make me laugh. After about an hour, I feel much better. Good Luck... and please don't cut yourself... you'll regret it later.

Try and surround yourself with positive people. If that isn't possible, go for a walk, listen to some music, go see a funny movie. OR, you could also just watch Jerry Springer. No one's life is as bad as the idiots that appear on there!

to be sincere u should treat ur body as a temple & cutting urself might help you release any pain you're going through for the moment but it is not solving anything. i'd say writing all your thoughts, perhaps talking to someone whom you trust can help as bottling everything inside can worsen the way you feel. hope you feel better & that your day gets better.
