I don't know how helpful this link (http://www.flightglobal.com/jobs/) will be to you. I myself am Nigerian (in Abuja), since 1985 I've been looking forward to having a career as a pilot but due to lack of assistance/support from home, my dream hasn't been realised. I've spent the better part of my life acquiring knowledge on flight (my frequent flier miles also helped, not to mention visits to key aviation tourist attractions in at least one foreign country).
If you know how I can get a scholarship for flight training anywhere outside Nigeria or any private flying school in Nigeria I would appreciate it.

We've got plenty of applicants already. How about stocking shelves at Walmart instead? Or hey, maybe there's like a "Nigerian Air" you can apply at?? Why move all the way over here, just to fly off to someplace else?

Yes, to get any training for a job in a north American based airline, you would need to be a citizen.
