A man wakes up in the middle of the night and he is hungry. He goes downstairs, makes himself a sandwich and eats it. He goes back upstairs, turns out the light and goes back to sleep. When he wakes up in the morning he looks out his window and shoots himself. WHY??

Sleep is another world that is combined with this world . Now , Human being is not able to understand what happen in sleep ! Sleep is reality if you believe it ! You can't find an exact and sure answer because you don't know what happened for him ! Definitly , he had gone in a line of events that were different from material or every thing as he saw in window !

The sandwich was made out of something that he cared about and it was alive and then it got put into a sandwich that he ate.

He was a lighthouse keeper and he turned off the light of the lighthouse. This in turn causes boats to crash and ultimately him to lose his job had he not killed himself.

I also think its a lighthouse thing. He did not turn any light on and when he turned it off it caused havoc and he killed himself.
