Buses/Trains-How long is the trip and how much? etc

Can you fly directly to Cheltenham?

The most cost effective and least hassle would be to grab a national express to my home town. : )

About a 4 hour journey approx according to the national express web site and approx £38 for a return.

Good luck!

Difficult! By train Stansted - London Liverpool St - Tube to London paddington - Cheltenham. Costs quite a lot for accurate information go to www.thetrainline.co.uk

Coach - Stansted - London Victoria [?] - then Coach to Cheltenham.

Look on the National Express website

There is an airport near Cheltenham but I do not think that - although there are plans - much goes there!

Can't fly direct but Birmingham is much closer if you can get a flight to there.

National Express Coaches is cheapest but probably longest. British Rail not too bad but I reckon you will probably have to change a couple of times.

Train service is Chetenham Spa-Stansted airport, but it means several changes depending what day and time you are travelling.
Suggest you check the link http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
as this should give the details and also prices.
Hope this helps
