On microsoft, it should give you an option of the version you want. Otherwise google "internet explorer 5 download". I do recommend getting firefox over IE though. It's safer & faster.

Follow the advice of Bod McNeil or Mindy above! You need a copy of IE even if you don't think you'll use it, because you will. Here's why.
Some software, mostly, but not only, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, are so mean-spirited that they INSIST that you use IE to download their updates.
They won't let you use Firefox or Opera or Safari or Iceweasel or Netscape or ... anything else! Forget it!
For them you just HAVE TO have IE. You can have it on your computer even if you use some other browser all the time and set that other browser as your favorite.
So knuckle under and fetch a copy of ol' IE and keep it around. You'll have to have it. It's the way of the world.

Go into the Control Panel and click on the Add / Remove Programs icon. In the window that opens look on the left. There will be a button to Add Windows Components. Click on it.
In the list that opens, look for a check the option for Internet Explorer. Click OK and it will reinstall IE 6 for you.

Go to the following website. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/default.mspx
You should be able to get it there. There's a download for IE 6 service pack 1. After you have that installed you can then download version 7.

Have you tried a system restore to prior to you removing it? It is part of the operating system and required for system updates. I don't know what an uninstall actually does.
