Why don't some men just learn to control themselves or never get married? You want a cop out, that's all.
God Bless.

Matthew 19. The world does whatever it wants when it wants too. Why is what you say; a reality. Because of the hardness of mens hearts.
Sin is sin. 1 John chapter 1.
Does that give us a cause to practice it?
Children get their hands hit if they put their hands in a cookie jar without permission?
It may be a sweet treat to some. But it is a matter of life and death to others.
God has a pesculiar wy of dealing with the offenses of men in that area. He came to the defense of the under dog. The hated in a relationship.
Society looks and the outside of a relationship. God looks at the intent of the heart!
How can one condemn Adultry but commit polgamy. Both are the same. More than one woman or man is involved. Do we have a right to go against God when he only wants the best for us. Proverbs chapter 4.

You are wrong. Adultery is actually LESS common in the US than it was in the 50s and 60s. Current stats indicate that 60% of men have cheated on their wives at least once during marriage (down from 76%) while for women it is 15% (up from 8%). Many only do it ONCE or don't consider sex with a prostitute as adultery.
Polygamy is total exploitation of women by men. With rare exceptions in the US, polygymist men do not support their families, but rely on welfare to do so. As a taxpayer, that should make you pretty irate.
Spare me... don't blame Satan for people's poor decisions. They make them all by themselves.

When a person commits to another, they both need to honor that commitment. If a person feels they need more than one person to commit to, they need to tell the other person before any commitment is made. I believe the Bible says it is OK for a man to have more than one wife, but that is old testament. I have never been able to decide if the Bible allows a woman to have more than one husband. I think you are right about satan deceiving the people, are we not taught that he is the great deceiver. If a person is a non believer, they can still love and commit. But if you truly love someone why would you want to hurt them with adultery.

Now days Adultery is not seen as evil or bad. this world has turned Godless and unmerciful and selfish just the other day i heard a 58 year old war veteran a man I work with say you know things did not use to be as bad as they are today. and it is true people will look down on you if you help somebody, your sought as nobody or a loser if you care about somebody, and your sought as bad if you do bad their is no such thiong as satisfication in the eyes of man now days. no matter how much they get they are never happy. this is what the bible says about that
" Why give up everlasting intimacies with your wife for temporary pleasures with a whore"

I don't think this is really a valid question... here's why...
Sin is sin. There is no magnitude of sin. It's all the same in God's eyes, you commit adultery, you've sinned, you commit polygamy, you sin. Neither is WORSE. They are both sin and both are wrong. Both are perverted.
As for the references, these are talking about old Hebrew culture where men had many wives. For example, David, a man, the Bible says, after God's own heart, had many wives. This was the culture under the OLD law, the law of Moses. We are not under the same law now. (Check out what Paul says about it in Romans) Now we abide by the law of the spirit.
Basically, adultery is wrong, polygamy is wrong, they're both sin. Both "equally" bad. No difference in God's eyes.
Hope this helps, if you wanna talk more about it, email me at againyo@gmail.com

Adultery is worse than Polygamy. Adultery usually involves deception, oath breaking, and cheating. Inthose societies where polygamy is common it is legal. open, and - by definition - permitted, and can be seen as honourable. That last is true where it happens as a means of protecting the ladies of a deceased relative.
An honest person can be polygamous. An adulterer is a dishonest and dishonourable cheat.

This is back in the day when man had more than one wife and Moses was trying to handle what man had created by not listening to God. God said a man and his wife are to become one, not 2, 3 or 4. We are still living with what Abraham, Sarah and Hagar dealt us. Ishmael the terrorist whose hand is against every man and every man's hand is against him. And Isaac, God's chosen people the Jews who in 1948 became the nation of Israel once again.
OH and yes, Satan always deceives the people. If you are not satisfied with one woman then ask God to deliver you from this curse. God intends for marriage to be one man and one woman. So don't play around. It always costs dearly. The worst part is children want one dad and one mom. They don't want any extras. Straighten up!

I believe you already know the answer to your own question.. Both are wrong if you want other women.. or men for that matter you shouldnt be married either way.. a marriage is a commitment between two people if you cant uphold your end of the vows then you shouldnt be in a marriage its far easier to ignore your morals than to admit somethings wrong with you..commitment is an important part of life.. if you cant trust or be trusted..you shouldnt be in ANY relationship!

Neither adultery nor polygamy is acceptable. Since when do men feel they have a right to always be Satisfied. If the question were turned around and applied to women would you even ask it? This is a very sexist question in my opinion.

What makes you think that Polygamy would reduce adultery? Muslims and Mormons allow polygamy but they cheat outside of marriage all the time.
