The questions on this site are becoming more rediculous every day. There is rarely a valid question about Christianity without nonsense and hate thrown into it. Trolls abound on this site. I am getting really close to leaving this site and I am a Christian.

I have, through several accounts watched this page decline. When it started there was a mix of religious views including some atheists, a few Muslims and Jews. There was a fairly wide blend of different Christian sects.
Then a strange thing happened. The religious fundamentalists showed up. Postings were flooded with long irrelevant pastings of scripture. Off topic rants about Jesus and open condemnations of anybody not a Fundy as Hellbound Satan Spawn. The next thing was the attack they mounted on the Catholics. It was mostly backed with Jack Chick style material. Right after that came the attacks on the Muslims.
The other Christian posters were basically driven from the board by the Fuindies. Only these atheists you see here stayed and told the Fundies back.
Then the report abuse crap started where the Fundies decided to report everything they didn't like. This was not the reporting of trolls. It was the wholesale reporting of anything not from Baptist or Pentecostal evangelicals.
There was a rash of creationists as well.
Now you have it where the atheists are madder than hell at the Fundies and most of the Fundies are lurking and reporting as abuse every account they can.
Maybe if the "Real" Christians would just crawl back under their rocks then the good and intelligent Christians could return along with the other religions and we could return to discussing religion in here.
I intend to remain for a while hoping to see that change happen.
Until that time I will waste my time playing whack a mole on fundy accounts. After having several accounts destroyed by them I guess it is time to start cleaning them out.

Surely there were few in the first place. There are some who want to believe, and then turn tail when attacks come.
I have no idea why God led me to come to this site. Perhaps to see the apostasy so prevalent in the current 'church' system. Maybe to witness to the few who might actually have a longing to know truth. Maybe to sharpen my skills against the attacks of the enemy. Maybe to warn those who have been deceived. Perhaps to offer an occasional biting witticism to make someone think twice about their foolish ways.
Ultimately though, I too expect to be gone. There is very little light among the majority who only prove themselves children mentally, and spiritually.
In the end, it is just a reflection of the fact that there really is little time left to seek wisdom and truth in this dark and perverse world.

When I first started here about a year or so ago, it was almost all Christians and Muslims. There are still quite a few Chrsitians, but hardly any Muslims anymore.
My guess is people come here, realize their faith is being challenged, and leave in a big huff. But atheists for the most part don't have a faith to be challenged, and so we stick around.
Over time, we just kind of accumulate.

Hope so!
If you read what christians (vs jews and muslims) posted here, who would you view as the extreme fundamentalist??
Christianity is so weak that christians believe that there is always 'a reason' for everything. Face it, being on this site is not a devine intervention.... it's turning on your computer, logging on to Yahoo, and CHOOSING... that's right, making a conscious auto-decision, to enter this particular site as opposed to others.
If all the christians left this site, I would jump up and do a little jig.

You are trying in vain saying that nowaday times are worse than former times. It is vanity. There are many Christians here and perhaps many others are reading answers, grow in faith and soon themselves will be answering questions. There are many of us here, but we are still very separated. I'm sorry for those who gave up. Nevertheless I think that such forum is necessary.

Well, I can't speak for others. I am a Catholic/Christian, I am still here. Though I plan on going outside to cut my grass in a few minutes!
May God bless you. Peace be with you.

I believe in God and Jesus, but do not consider myself a Christian. The fundamentalist's beliefs can not hold up under close scrutiny. They don't make a lot of sense because much of their doctrine is nonsensical. I think many are leaving because they see their arguments are futile.

Sisterzeal got deleted? Or did she find reason?
Shame if atheists have resorted to the same tactics christians use against people with differing opinions. I would hope we were above that sort of silliness.

I don't keep track of who's here and who isn't, very much. I will stick around as long as I feel like it, I guess. Pretty lame though most of the time. And getting lamer all the time.
