I don't fully comprehend your question but if you're asking about commiting a sin and not knowing that it was a sin, then that is not a problem. I hope you understand because I think now that my answer could be phrased better. What I'm saying is that it is not a sin if you don't know you're doing something wrong.

I can confess to making mistakes without being aware of the extent of those mistakes nor the extent of the consequences. All sin starts with disobedience so if I confess the sin of disobedience my confession (and my repentance) is real...God can show me the true nature of my sins when he's ready to do so!

If a very reliable source told me I was a sinner, I would confess whether I did or did not know what sins I had committed. But really, is there anyone past infancy who can't recall one instance of sin?

Before anyone can be accountable for any sin, they must know first that it is wrong to do it. Like when a young child hits his sibling. That is in essence, wrong. But the child did not know that. After the child is aware that what he was doing is wrong, then he has the choice, and consiquence. Like-wise with us; if what we did was wrong in societies eyes, or what God has told us is wrong, we still would not be held accountable for it. "You cannot sin in ignorance." We must learn that it is wrong before it is wrong. So if I was accused of a sin that I truly, I repeat truly did not know was wrong, then I would not have a need to confess.

I admit to God that I have sinned... I am aware that I, as do all, commit sins I am unaware of... I admit that to God as well... Since the Sin Debt of all of man kind has been paid in Full by The Blood of Christ, I do not have to worry about those sins I have commited unawares... I just have to strive to avoid commiting them as best I can.

Uh, what?
I am human kid, there called mistakes. If we continue to repeat the same mistakes over and over, then I would call it rebellious actions.. or plain stubborn.. or refusal to change or being taught a certain way or simply dumb...
you can call it whatever fits your best category....
Alot of people don't see any wrong in "sin" because of
however they have been raised or what NOT....

So, for the record and to get everyone off my back I confess I am a sinner and YEAH, I am broken inside..oh, the agony 2

Not to another human. Instead to God, and it would not be confessing since God knows all confessing would be a waste of time instead asking for forgiveness would be in place. And that should only be done if you are truly sorry for your what ever sin you are talking about. Forgiveness only comes to however is truly sorry. Remember Jehovah will also now if are truly sorry or if you are asking for forgiveness only to quiet your conscience from bothering you.

We confess our sins based on the conviction of the Holy Spirit. That's what being a true Christian means, having the Holy Spirit guiding you, and showing you what you need to make right and confess to Him and others.

I cant imagine not knowing you arent committing a 'sin'. I

f you dont know you are sinning, then you have nothing to confess. if you DO know and are just trying to tell yourself that you REALLY arent sure if its a sin or not, your gut and heart know the true answer.

Since the suggested last prayer in the Sacrament of Confession/Absolution includes: "Father, for these and all my other sins committed which I cannot now remember...." I'd have to say "Yes, we would."
