I've seen the competition, and some Qs are so simple and lame it's not funny and they will get 50 answers. In contrast my simple Q about Where is the husband in this bible story asked a few hours ago only has 2 answers, and its not the only Q that I've had little or no responce, call me paranoid but does Yahoo have anyhing to do with this or is my Qs just too much for some people. Maybe I should re-submit them, and let me get this out of the way waa-waa for the answers,if any,on this Q.

Par for the course. Whenever I ask a good, valid question concerning religion, I hear crickets chirping as well... Then I see a question that is little more than a veiled insult, and 45 people have weighed in. Ive come to the conclusion that this site is only useful as entertainment, and that you should never seek to make a serious point, as it will be lost on most readers.

All of your questions concern religion.

Religion is a belief based; none can be proven to the absolutely true, so any question is subject to interpretation based on the tenets of the individuals belief or religion.

Consequently there is rarely a correct answer to any religious question, particularly when the question asks about people in a crowd that existed some 2,000 years ago. Nobody knows.

Most people want to answer questions which have some chance of being answered definitively, religious ones rarely can. Many religious questions are biased to a particular view, and thus are not good questions, or are presented with a particularly hostile slant towards either a specific religion or sect.

So, people don't want to get into confrontational answering sessions. If you want more responses, try to formulate your questions in an even, unbiased manner so people can reply with intelligence.

By the way, there is no "competition" in questions. It is not a battle or race.

I noticed it can be the time of day your question is submitted, too. Yes, sometimes if you re-submit it later, you may get more answers. Now I'll haveto go see what your question was! And also, some people just want to answer without having to look something up. It depends for me on how much time I have.

Qs soliciting factual answers don't require a lot of answers. You asked a trivia question that appeals to hardcore bible-buffs. Did you get a wrong answer? The "best answer" is usually the first to get it right. Once someone has gotten it right, other people are not as likely to bother answering. It's not like we're here for points.

Qs soliciting opinions - especially opinions on sensitive subjects - will get lots of answers. None of them are correct, but none are wrong, either.

Compare the questions you asked before to this one. What was the difference? I would be willing to bet there was a difference. Anyway all the answers you got on this question should make up for the others.waa-waa!

I wasn't on here three hours ago. I just went back and answered the question, though.

(Piece of friendly advice--don't suggest that people aren't answering your questions because they're "afraid" to. If there's one thing that people in this forum AREN'T, it's afraid or "paranoid" about answering questions. Just re-post the question if you're not getting a response.)

I didn't see anything about a husband in a Bible story, Sorry but I need to tell you we all get the same response. When I vote the tell me to wait and when I wait the question is gone. If I go to profile my question comes up but I can't do anything thing go dead. Stay with us. Things change.

Well, I didn't even see your questions, so I cannot answer what I cannot see.

During times of high traffic, sometimes questions take a long time to show, and when they finally do show, they're already shunted to the second or third page.

Consider that before being insulting.

It's all about time of usage. Some times have lots of people, some don't. And you gotta have a little pizazz, grab the attention. Anything that makes me laugh or think I'll answer.
