Talking about things outside of our experience always requires us to talk metaphorically. For example, the universe as a whole is not a possible object of experience, yet, we do talk about it. We are explicitly barred from experiencing electrons directly, but we do attribute qualities to them that are analogs of properties we can actually experience. So it is with the deity.

Well. One thing I'm sure. Love is the answer to all the problems humanity is suffering. And God Is Love.
Second, Who says a spirit doesnt have human qualities? Spirit is responsible for our love, our feelings. Spirit is the the source of all the good things in life and nature. Spirit is the force of God

Except the word "SPIRIT"-a casual mention- you do not get much information on what it is like in other Religions---You read a Good translation of Brahma Sutram's commntaries (Gloss) by 3 well known Acharyas-Great teachers(Sarva sri.Sankara,Ramanuja and Madwa) .there are about 12 commentaries.Brahmam according to Brahma Sutram(564 aphorisms)-is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, all imbibisive, all pervasive ,Ultimate Reality has NO attributes-Nir Gunam--Brahmam is Nirakaaram,Niramayam, nir gunam,Nir,Bhedham--brahmam is one pedestal above G-O-D=GOD as talked in other religions. So you will get a good idea about something equivalent to SPIRIT. your question is correct-why to give human attributes to GOD?

Well first of all we are created in God's image and we have qualities of God. Those who choose to anyways. God wants us to be more like Him, follow His word and way of life.

"Since most humans suffer from a lack of balance in their lives, our best counsel on this subject comes from God's word, the Bible. In that Book, there appears a most unusual command:"
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children..." (Eph. 5:1). Maybe you never realized such a statement was in the Bible. What a strange command: "Be imitators of God"!
In other words, this is neither a passing thought nor a once in a blue moon experience. The practice of our being people who "mimic God" is to become our daily habit. We are to do what He does. Respond to life as He responds. Emulate similar traits and qualities. Model His style."

Jesus is god and came to earth and lived as a human. The way he lived his life is our example of how to live our lives. He, as a man, had human qualities as well as spiritual qualities.

It's called anthropomorphism; the symbolic application of human characteristics to God in order for mere humans to better understand Him.

Can the sun be warming?
Or can it only warm your skin?
If you believe God is life itself,
then it is human and beyond.
