If so, then I bet they wont let it happen.

Doesn't look like that's going to happen any times soon. Peace will not return until after he does, and so far that holds true.

here's the thing, at the end of the bible, in the book of revelation, it says that there will be wars and great catastrophes that happen before Jesus comes back. so if world peace is ever accomplished (but it probably wont be) then there will most likely be a small faction of terrorists left somewhere in greatest hiding that they cant be found even after they launched the last few nukes so that the US and
Russia started another great war

Irregardless of people's various theologies, I think world peace, human rights and a clean planet should still be something all should strive for.

It would be so lazy just to throw your hands up and say, "God will fix everything." and continue ruining the home we were given to care for.

It depends what you mean by "true world peace." The Bible speaks of several periods of "false peace" that each last several years. The last one will be a period of approximately 3 1/2 years after the Antichrist arises. (See Daniel 9:27).

So periods of peace are not at all inconsistent with the Scriptures.

As Christians, we would rejoice and when Jesus returned, He would be so pleased. That's what Christians are striving for everyday.

As optimistic as I'm trying to be about that, I don't see it happening. Why? Because we can't even have R&S peace!

True world peace is part of the promise of Jesus' return.

No, it would just mean it would come at a later time. It has been 1,978 years so far. (Since leap years are rather new, Jesus was born in 4 B.C.)

No, it's about who and what you follow.

Of course it won't happen. That's a utopian dream. Man screwed that idea up in Eden when he did what he wanted to, everyone else be darned!

Who are "they"?

Christians have absolutely no control over world peace, except for the HUGE amount of humanitarian work they do at their own cost.

But your Christian bashing is duly noted.
