Embracing is not necessary. Just leave them alone.

No! We are NOT to embrace such a scourge on our society! The Scripture teaches us that we are to "ABSTAIN (remove ourselves) from the very appearance of evil..." How then can we embrace something that God through the Apostle Paul called an "abomination"? Rather, we should embrace those embroiled in the lifestyle in an effort to lead them to salvation. We're taught to love the sinner and HATE THE SIN! Besides, Christianity has existed in free and bound societies since it's inception, so I'm sure it will continue in that vein with or without homosexuality dominating the culture.

I personally don't believe In homosexuality I think It's awful. Although I have two friends that I didn't know were that way when I met them, I actually didn't find out until I became pretty good friends with them. I'm not going to befriend them though, We had a discussion about it and they know where I stand and I know where they stand. The topic to this day has never ever came up again. The answer to the question though is no, the Christian faith will NEVER "embrace" this kind of behavior.

In a free society, each person can choose what they believe according to their own conscience. That is why there are Christians who embrace homosexuality as well as those who don´t and I expect that won´t change except that maybe the percentage of unaccepting Christians will probably decrease over time as they (or the spiritual leaders they trust in) gradually open their minds to new interpretations of the Bible and other sources of Christian doctrine. Nobody can force someone else to believe something/to change their beliefs, but there are negotiations under way within church organizations to make official changes to things like dogma.

Adlai Stevenson once observed that a free society is one in which it is safe to be unpopular. By that standard no Christian is required to embrace homosexuality, merely to allow non-Christians to live by the laws of their own faith without interference. Failure so to do will mean that there will no longer be a free society in which anyone may live.

Nope. Christianity does not embrace the perversions of truth, neither does it have to tolerate or be permissible. Christianity exists totally independent of any worldy society.

No, because God doesn't change, nor should He. He doesn't bend to the will or desires of people. It's us that are to yield to His will. And God commands Christians to be not in the world.
John 15:19 -- If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
(EDIT) Another verse: Romans 12:2 -- And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

It already does. There are plenty of homosexual priests in the Roman Catholic church. and homosexuals are welcome in all churches as long as they abstain from sex.
If anyone disagrees with the teaching of a church they do not have to be a member of it. If they want to set up their own church that is up to them, plenty have done it before (Mormons,Christian Scientists etc). Those in this new church will be free to practice whatever they like withn the realms of the law. They can even write their own 'bible'. After all the Mormons did.

No, we are followers of Christ and He will never embrace sin!! Society has a choice - submit to the Lordship of Christ or continue in it's wicked ways that lead to death.

What business is it of yours if a church thinks something is sinful? I would go all the way with you in ensuring the liberty of all people, homosexual or not, but I do not endorse what they do. It upsets me that you think somehow it is impossible for something to be considered immoral in a free society. Has the meaning of freedom deteriorated so much? I think freedom means you think what you want, your neighbor thinks what they want. But according to modern interpretation, freedom means your neighbor thinks what they want, and you have to agree with them. Or the other way, you think what you want, and if your neighbor disagrees with you they are "violating" your freedom. Such a hallow definition of freedom is sad.

Considering the number of 'holy men' who enjoy the pre-mass ******** from choir boys I would have thought homosexuality had already been accepted albeit furtively.
To those religious people who see homosexuality as an 'abomination' why do you cover up the sexual abuse rife among the clergy ..huh
