(The totally wrong stuff about what things mean in Latin and Greek etc. probably comes from those idiotic "name meaning" and "baby name" books and web sites - that stuff is 90% made up folks. It's just cheap garbage stuffed into a book in the hopes that the publisher can make $1 a copy.)
