And how often would you be inclined to visit, and how far would you drive?

It's the little details.

(1) I want a clean range, with decent bathrooms.

(2) Good lighting.

(3) Adequate ventilation, and preferably, climate control.

As far as features go, I'd like a couple of things I've not seen anywhere.

(1) A lane for reloaders, equipped with a press, a powder scale, and a chrony.

(2) A gun cleaning area, preferably stocked.

(3) A CCTV camera with a telephoto lens, and a monitor for viewing your targets at the far end of the range.

My local community college has a nice indoor range but it's handgun and rimfire only. Nice target equipment and booths but no retail understandably. I really buy most of my supplies online as I hold an FFL and get discounts, but it would be nice to pick up small items and target ammo.

What really makes it special is that on Wednesday afternoons an unofficial group of female LEOs from local police and federal agencies meet for practice and some of them have very nice shooting stances. I seem to learn just by watching!

I'd like to see, for an indoor range, 50yards, no one needs to shoot 100 yards or more indoors. I'd like to see a small scale "killhouse" that one would either have to qualify for, or failing that, could take classes to use. I'd like to see rapid acquisition targets at various ranges from 7 yards out to 50 yards.I'd like to see a WIDE selection of targets to choose from instead of the same old standard B8 targets. I'd also like to see steel stations at 25 yards and 50 yards. I'd like to see better lighting and better ventilation than most of the local indoor ranges here have. I already drive about 30 minutes to shoot at a 200 yard outdoor range, I'd drive just as far to shoot at the range i just described, I already shoot between 2 and 3 times aweek, I'd probably shoot at least once or twice a week at the indoor range.

I live in a small town in Pa I have 2 diffrent indoor/out door ranges the one is almost walking distance from my house and the other one is about a 10 min drive. What I would like to see is for my shooting ranges to rent weapons so you could try a gun out before you buy it.I allways see people on here talking about renting guns.

A big pile of dirt and a 55 gallon drum lol I would have to drive for hours to get to a indoor shooting range, or 10 minutes to the big pile of dirt.

Good lighting out to at least 50 yards [you can't hit that far if you can't practice ]...
good rangemasters. In case the customers get restive.
Good selection of rentable weapons.
Reasonable rates.

Most of that is at Wade's Eastside Guns in Bellevue,WA.
