The Bible says God remembers our sins no more. From as far as the East is from the West, He has removed our transgressions from us. That doesn't mean He forgets. He is all-knowing. What that passage means is that if we've asked for forgiveness, He remembers them, but doesn't hold them against us. He looks on us and sees Jesus' perfection, and it's as if we never sinned.

You might be thinking of Micah 7:19. "You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfood and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea."
