I am truly appalled at the number of people on here that dont (or think it's cool to say they don't) like law enforcement officers. So with that said, I'll take the chance to thank each and everyone of you out there serving our communities. Thank you for putting your life on the line each and everyday to keep my family safe. Kudos to all of you!

To Jaquayummy- Honey I am not trying to kiss anybody's a$$! I dare you to take a seat right up in front with an officer on duty at some point in your life. Can't handle it? Then maybe you can come sit with me and see things on the other side of the radio. Yup, I am a dispatcher. I know what each and every one of my officers put up with on a daily basis. I know the dangers they put themselves in. I know what they must be thinking when they respond for the 4th time in one day to the same address, because I am thinking something along the same lines when I take the call. I can only imagine what they are thinking when they respond to a shots fired call, because I have the caller on the line still. I would urge you to do some investigating in the field before you make rash assumptions that everyone who thanks an officer for doing their duty is kissing someone's a$$!

I read most of the LEO questions, and it seems that a whole group of people - or maybe one person with many trolls, just got out of prison or released from a mental hold, and they are back in here answering with a vengeance.
For those of you in Law Enforcement, don't let these haters get to you. That's all they are, and they do not represent the overwhelming majority of people who support and appreciate those of you who serve and protect us.
For all of you haters, no one really cares what you think. These officers lay it on the line for you every day, and still go home to the same problems that you face, but you expect them to be perfect, without a single fault, blemish or mis-step. If they made the same mistakes on their job that the average person does, they would be out of work and in prison. You all have the luxury of Monday-Morning-Quarterbacking every move they make and talking about how they can do it better.
But I can guarantee that not one of you haters has ever been spit on, MF'd, shot at, sued for just doing your job, or taken a suspension without pay for reacting to an insult about yourself or a family member. I can also guarantee that you've never sat in the witness stand in court and had some attorney make comments about your report, about the quality of your handwriting or picking apart a mis-spelled word saying that you must not be a good officer because of it.
God bless all of you who put on a uniform and a badge.

I agree and appreciate every time you put your badge and gun on. The honor and integrity and heart you put into this.
To serve and protect.
\If the ones who slander and run the mouth would ride one shift they would change their tune fast.
Such a person is called to this. It sure isn't the money.

I have to agree with you. What job is more self-sacraficing then to go out there and fight for people you don't even know, ready to die for them. Thank you to all law enforcement officers...from my heart.
