God is our father.

Catholics also refer to Mary as our mother based on John 19:26-27. She is honored as such also due to parallels in the Bible between most of the texts. Mary is called Queen of heaven based of Davidic practices of naming your mother as queen instead of your wife. You must also remember that she is NOT A GODDESS in any sense of the word.

There is none. God has all the traits of both male and female (not talking about physical traits of course). How do I know this? Because God made Adam in His image and later separated him into male and female. However we refer to God in the masculine - "Father" - just as we call the human race "man".

What we are made of is our Mother. The father is the one who animates the flesh. If you want to get right down to it then GOD is our mother also.

Well don't you know.. God is a woman.. the people that wrote the bible were men!

You know, it doesn't go Matthew, Mark, Luke, Jane!

The reason God is referred to as a man, is because in the era that the bible was written, women were nothing!

PS Each book of the bible was written to target a specific audience. Dont believe those people that tell you it is the word of God! It is the word of man! Not to mention man with a targeted audience trying to get his (and I don't mean his, as in god) beliefs across!

It is not something to be taken literally- God is the father of us all because he created the world, not because he was physically the father..

If you are a Christian, read the bible- it's gonna have more information than me..
If not, hope that helped..

Mother Earth, for that is where the dirt was gathered to have life breathed into it by the Father.

Just like our sperm and egg... the sperm determines the person just as the Father has.

God did not create the first man from a womb nor is a spiritual birth from the womb. So, there is no mother.

I'm sorry but I don't know the name of your mother. My mother's name is Mary. We don't have heavenly mother's, as we are brought into the world of flesh. We give God the Father the obedience of our souls, as we will see him after this life.
