My sentence to you is, "I love you more than words can say, and thank you for all that you sacrifice, and do, to protect your people, even when you're not given the full respect by them, that you deserve."
Bless yall.

"I've got your back."

Tired of all the empty claims of support from people who claim that I fought in an "illegal war."

You you are saying that the war is illegal - then you are calling me a criminal.

It is nice to be appreciated and supported. What really means the most is when you recognize the sacrifice we make. Many have no idea of the sacrifices that go on daily. It's not just sacrifice of life. We know the risk and take that risk willingly. It's not for glory, medals or honor. It's for the country we love above all else. It's for the men and women in uniform fighting along side us. There is nowhere on earth that you can bond with others like that. You know that they got your back and you got theirs. Even if you don't know them. They where the same uniform, take the same risk, make the same sacrifice. They are your brother. They leave their home and families not knowing if they will ever see them again. They do it for the better good. They do it for all of us. As long as you recognize the sacrifice and appreciate the service, then we are proud to serve you. HOOAH!

Thank you for your kind words. I can't tell you enough how much it means for the Troops to know that our country is standind behind us.

As far as what I would like to hear from the American people, that's an interesting concept. Personally, I've been in the Middle East for over 4 years now. Over two of those years were at various camps in Iraq, 9 months was spent in Afghanistan and now I'm here in Kuwait. My thing is this though, while I have seen some things that I really wish weren't necassary to endure in order to keep our contry safe, and been in some situations where I may or may not have harmed someone, Most of my time has been spent in the safety of camps. Yes, we would get mortared from time to time and terrorists would bomb our gates, but, I'm not infantry. I don't get suited up everyday and hit the streets of Iraq on patrols or go out to sweep neighborhoods or stand at some lonely checkpoint.

See, for me to hear people say these things to me kinda makes me feel like I'm taking credit for what those infantry boys are doing. And that makes me uncomfortable. Those guys are the real heros in this conflict. I guess it's just a matter of being close enough to see it all. But, at the same time, I do appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

Thank you all for supporting us.

People can echo all those wonderful things mentioned here...Its not what they say to me but rather what they say and fell when not in the presents of a soldier.

Ditto to that !! Your service to Our Country is so appreciated.

I pray daily for all that you and your families go through and I thank God & You for what We are today because of you.
Thank you for serving. Our flag flies at half-staff for now, for those who gave their all. They volunteered for us as you have.

We too, raised our family while in the military and my husband was a proud military man. One of our sons has followed and he is also retired from the military service now.

GOD BLESS ALL THE FINE MEN WHO HAVE SERVED

From one soldier to another, no words are needed. Just a salute. Soldiers understand that.
