I think you are a little confused. Perhaps you should read the bible to find out what it says before you stand by it. Also, if you obviously haven't read it, how can you say it is false?
Tell me what has been proven false in the Bible. Really.
Nothing
That's what. Scientists make educated guesses
and they are good, but they are human too, so they can make mistakes. God's Word does not.
Science and the Bible are both true, we just need to find a way to make science fit in with the Bible
Also in the Bible, which you seem so keen on referencing, even though you say that most of it has been proven false. So why are you even bothering?
Though, it is a good idea to keep bothering, because it is true.
Evolution could well have happened. Where in the Bible does it say that we didn't evolve from monkeys. Because, also in the: watch this now, key words: the BIBLE, it says about the "it was evening and it was morning" and that was the first day, well, that doesn't mean that it was an actual day, as on earth. Because God lives out of time, here's a quote from the Bible, "A day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day." (from 2 peter)
Hence, the seven days could have been thousands and thousands of years, because God lives out of time! He is above it!
Oh yes, and following a false god is not listed as a sin in the actual Bible. Following any god other than God (yah-veh in the original Hebrew), however, is. Of course, they are all false, so it's the same thing.
If you can give me 10 examples of the Bible being "proven false" as in, not a guess, I want proof beyond a reasonable doubt. I doubt you can give me three that I cannot disprove.
Post any on this question; I'll keep checking back, and amending my answer if necessary.
And yes, if what you are saying were true, that would be hypocritical, but since it's not, I don't thik we need any further discussion.

The Bible and true science do not conflict. The preachers are the one who teach that the earth is only six thousand years old! They misinterpret scripture to suit their own needs.
I'm an old earth creationist. I believe that God did in fact create everything, but that the world is NOT six thousand years old! Science proves it isn't.
Evolution by the way, has not been dogmatically proven. Most of the science used to back it up has been disproven or has been faked. The largest fossil collector in the world today has said there is no fosill evidence for evolution. They can't even imagine the intermediates! Then alone find evidence for them.
But whether you are a young earth or an old earth creationist, it doesn't matter. Evolutionists are just as much of a hypocrite, because they claim to believe in something which has absolutely no concerete evidence to support it! They blame us for following religion...and then go and do the same thing.
Go figure!

I'm a Christian, and I read the Bible ALL THE WAY THROUGH once every two years ... and when I do that 'reading' I have 17 'different translations' that I read 'at the same time' verse by verse.' The Bible is an EXCELLENT BOOK, with 'much to say' about history, about life, and about ways to 'get to Heaven.'
But I do NOT believe that the Bible was 'dictated by God' ... it's simply a 'collection of short books and stories, songs, parables, and lessons' that were 'chosen by the early fathers of the church (what is now known as the Roman Catholic Church) to help us to 'learn' how to be 'good Christians.' You say that 'most of the Bible' is FALSE ... but it's not 'false' as much as it is 'fiction' that tells a 'true story' in words that we CAN UNDERSTAND. I do not follow a 'false god' ... I follow God, and his son, Jesus the Anointed (Christ means the Anointed) ... and I am NOT a 'sinner' because I worship God or Jesus ... I am a person who is on a 'wondrous path' of JOY and WONDERMENT ... and I'm going to Heaven. So are you, by the way, even though you are an 'atheist' and are trying to get me to 'admit' to your 'lies' (since you haven't read the Bible more than once, and don't 'understand' what most of it is 'saying' because you read a 'translation of a translation' you may not be 'aware' that what you are doing is lying, but it is still lies) ... because I KNOW that God created us and our 'universe' for a REASON, and that ALL of us are going to Heaven in the end (even the serial killers, mass murderers and pedophiles ... although they must do some 'time' in Purgatory/Hell to learn the 'lessons' they got 'wrong' here in our universe before the get to Heaven) ... and I am looking forward to 'finding out the rest of the story.' I'm not a 'hypocrite' ... and I'll see you in Heaven in the end!

It is better to believe and not suffer for eternity in hell, than to not believe and spend eternity in hell. If the theory of evolution is correct then why aren't apes, monkeys or whatever still evolving into humans? Can you answer that? I know my God is real. Let me tell you what He has done for me. He has healed me when I was sick! He even placed a container of milk in my refrigerator when my baby was completely out. His dad and I both searched every where in the house for some extra containers of formula for my son. There was none to be found anywhere. I went to church that night and came back home. The Lord spoke to me and said, "Look in the Refrigerator!" I looked and there it was. Right out in plain view. There was no way possible that we could've over looked it. I know my God is real.
Where did you hear that the bible has been proven to be false? What sources did you get that from? And if you know them maybe you need to look at their beliefs and see how they will compare to the bible, Gods Holy Word.

Most people would disagree with me, but really, I don't care because the truth hurts. There is no such thing as the bible, God, and Jesus.
"God" is a TITLE, not a NAME...Like: Sir, Ms, Lord, Prince, etc. In the Torah (The Law in Hebrew) it says he goes by ONE NAME and one NAME only.
Secondly, his name couldn't have been Jesus because Jesus is a derivative of Zeus (Latin/Greek decent...FAR from HEBREW). In further support of that, since he was a Hebrew, his name couldn't have been either of those because there was no letter "J" in any form before 1620. (And we all know he was around LONG before that.)
In correction...his name is Yahshua the Messiah, and the creators NAME is YHWH (in the original HEBREW text, thats what it says...so it's Yahweh for pronunciation purposes.)
Christianity is a insane extension of Roman catholicism.
It was a CREATED man-made religion from (some say Saint Paul, who was essentially Roman.)
And in conclusion...There is no evolution; Yahweh always was and so was his creation. Evolution was, again, created by romans (in the "bible") to give credit to themselves, and give some poppycock explanation for what there was always an answer to. (Too bad back then, there wasn't any copyright laws because it would have really avoided the whole religious misconception)
So to answer your question POINT BLANK: Christianity is a false religion--there is no such thing as religion, but it's not the only one out there claiming to be something it really isn't.
PS. If you want, I have alot of information that would really explain EVERYTHING.

Your logic is out of whack! And what proof do you have that "most of what the Bible has written has been proven false"? Where did you get this idea? Let me tell you what's false: It's the evolutionists' claim that man evolved from apes, and that life started on it's own! For one, where is the missing link that proves that man evolves from apes?? They can't ever find it! That's why it's called the missing link. 'Cause it doesn't exist. So, no proof for their theory there. Also, if we came from apes, then what about the apes we keep in the zoos across the nation? Aren't they supposed to evolve into humans? Why do they lag behind? And why do we then keep our relatives in cages? Isn't that cruel?
Secondly, how do things come about on their own? Magic?? How can something come from nothing?? Magic?? Yet evolutionists and scientists believe wholeheartedly in that idea. Let me tell you that it's only imagination that makes that possible.
Lastly, what takes more faith to believe in: That the world and everything was created by an intelligent God, or that everything we see and who we are came about by chance out of nothingness? I'll tell you it's easier to believe the first scenario than the second.

First, Jesus and God are one in the same. It's called the Trinity. Jesus was fully human and fully divine.
Second, I am not a hypocrite for believing in both evolution and the big bang theory as the probable way we came to be as we are today. Unlike so many Christians, I a) don't believe that the Bible is the literal word of God. I believe that God inspired the writers of the Bible to write what is there, but I do not believe it was meant to be taken as literal. b) I believe that God is capable of all things. I believe that God is "created" both evolution and the big bang theory. I, frankly, don't understand why it is so difficult for so many Christians to believe that God could do that if they believe that God is all-powerful. He has allowed us to develop on our own in so many ways. Why would he not allow the earth and people to come into being in the same way?
You know, I think you may have meant to say that the Bible is NOT an historical book but a book of faith.

Wow. Unless you are a Bible Scholar, which from this comment I seriously doubt, you shouldn't say "Most of what the Bible has written has been proven false." Plus, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. So, you would not be following a false god. Also, we aren't claiming to be sinless, so making a point that we are sinning...you are so off base!

Um...how have you "proven" God false? So God made the universe...and he made it with narual laws to governm it...sooooooo..?
So many atheists think that Christianity and science don"t mix. Most Christians take science hand in hand with thier faith. There's nothing that says God couldn"t use science to run his universe.
Example: The Big Bang theory was accepted by, before any other major organization on the planet, the Catholic Church. Just look it up.
God wanted - and bang, hello universe, a universe with natural laws to run it.

now you seem to be stuck on stupid here.
Without God there would be NO Science
believing in God the Father of Jesus is no different then you believing in the science of creation and evolution.
I have been torn for a while trying to figure out what I believe in and each day I find myself believing more and more in God. It's called Faith.
You do not have to believe in God if you do not want to, that is nice thing about having the freedom to chose. You are in no position to judge Christians for what they believe in, just the same as Christians should not judge non-believers.
