President George W. Bush yesterday acknowledged more openly than in the past the role of human activity in causing global warming, as he travelled to Scotland for the summit of the Group of Eight industrialised nations.
"I recognise the surface of the earth is warmer and that an increase in greenhouse gases caused by humans is contributing to the problem," he said during a visit to Denmark en route to Gleneagles.

Bush finally admitted in 2005 that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming.
But, the admin changed scientific reports to make the threat less real. He also refused to sign the Kyoto Treaty and tried to belittle greenhouse gas reduction efforts that were made/proposed during the G8 summit.
So, yes and no.
But, there are a lot of NASA scientists involved. I remember seeing the leading climate scientist all worked up over a quote that denied the importance of this subject. It was on the Colbert Report (comedycentral.com) but I can't remember the exact words that were used.

Here's a quote from a news release from the White House earlier this year:
"We are committed to the ultimate objective of stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system, and we acknowledge the recent work of the IPCC."

I think this qualifies even though the words man made or anthropogenic seem to not be in his vocabulary.
He has called a meeting of countries to address reducing greenhouse gases.

In a letter to invitees, Bush assured them that "the United States is committed to collaborating with other major economies" to agree on a global framework for cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
That good enough?

Good luck finding any clear and direct statement from any politician on any subject. Look what happened to Bush (the 1st one) when he said, "Read my lips, no new taxes". Clear statements supporting a definite view are always trouble for politicians and they avoid them like the plague.

Sure. The GISS reports directly to President Bush. They are very vocal about so-called "man made global warming".
