Sit down with a pen and paper and make a plan of how you want it to look. Go out and check availability and costing of materials to match your ideas. Then protect the floor (if not replacing) and start on the plaster. Do all structural things any rewiring etc. Clean up and commence with the decorations. Then the finishing touches soft furnishings etc.
Good Luck

Start with the windows then the ceiling, then the walls, floor last. Plastering is the worst, once youve got that problem licked everything else is a doddle.

i would suggest a clean up try to think that you are moving home and question each possesion if you really would want it or not, get two boxes or bags one for keeps, one for getting rid of and one for rubbish, then after you have done that i would do the walls then the floors ect good luck!

make a list of what needs to be done and what you think you can handle yourself. go around to a few stores to get some quotes and design ideas.
